Well from my knowledge the Clippers have till Thursday to decide if they're going to match the Suns offer and try to re-sign Richardson. But it was reported that they're still pondering on whether they should re-sign Richardson, and right now they're leaning on Kerry Kittles. There are currently talking to the Nets in a trade that would bring Kittles to L.A. I have yet to find a link, but I?m still searching.

If this happens, I will seriously throw something at my computer. More than likely if it happens it'll be Wilcox for Kittles, meaning LAC will get a huge contract, a guy who's career'll be up in about 3-4 years, and lose a rising star..bad move if it happens, IMO.

Sorry to break it to ya, there is no way the Clippers will trade Wilcox for Kittles. First off Kittles isn't that good, second he has a huge contract, and third Wilcox is still on a rookie contract. Those three are good enough reasons not to do it, especially if you're the cheap owner Donald Sterling. They aren't trading a cheap player with a lot of potential for an old one with a huge contract.

Kittles contract will come off the books next season. That alone gives him trade value.

Yeah he does have trade value for that, but trying to get rid of bad contracts isn't something the Clippers are worryinng about right now. They're still under the cap so it isn't like getting rid of a big contract will do anything, and it doesn't make sense to trade someone on a rookie contract for a huge one. Unless they want to dump Brand's contract, which might be something that will happen in the future, I don't think it will happen this early. Again, the Clippers have no reason to go after expiring contracts.

But then again, you are in dire need of a SG. You have anyone else in mind? Someone who's capable of Kittles' production? Add to the fact the bonus of his contract?

That is if they don't match.

The bonus of his contract expiring gives him trade value and more attractive to the Clippers for a couple of their extra 2nd rounders. The Nets might look for some contributers instead of just getting rid of salaries to be active in the next FA market. There has been rumours about Wilcox heading to the Nets which I believe would make sense, if the Clippers were to get him and Kittles, but I already discussed that previously in a different thread.

Another possibility is signing Darius Miles. Maggette could move back to the 2 and adding Miles to the SF Spot. If I was a Clippers fan I would much rather have Miles than Kittles. Even though Kittles comes off the books after this year, they haven't had any luck in the FA Market so that's not going to do them any good.

    Lineup 1

    PG: Shaun Livingston
    SG: Corey Maggette
    SF: Darius Miles
    PF: Elton Brand
    C: Chris Kaman

    6TH Man: Chris Wilcox

    Lineup 2
    PG: Shaun Livingston
    SG: Kerry Kittles
    SF: Corey Maggette
    PF: Elton Brand
    C: Chris Kaman

    6TH Man: Jaric/Aaron Williams

I Would prefer the 1st lineup because Miles has improved alot last season and looks like he can blossom in LA this time. Kittles will be gone, and Williams is at his prime and wont be a huge factor other than being a big man defender/banger and helping out Kaman.

Kittles is the better option than Miles. He's a veteran that can lead a young team. He can shoot the J including the 3 ball. He can also run. That's what the Clippers need.

Yea for a year....then he'll bolt to a contender for a cheaper price than what the Clippers or any weak team offers him.

If they trade for Kittles instead of resigning Q Rich I'll cry like a bitch.

Their were talks, and the Clippers aren't willing to give up Wilcox, that would be stupid.
