I was reading in one of the S Florida papers that Zach was in favor of (former D Co-ord ) Jim Bates. Zach & Nick met. ZT said the meeting was good & he has bought into Saban's vision. I guess the Texans D line coach who has worked w/ Saban before will be Miami's new D Co-ord. I wonder if the transition to a 3-4 is imminent? Saban may very well turn out to be St Nicholas especially if he brings the Dwo a Lombardi trophy.
Bates is or has interviewed w/ Cleveland Muschamp, Dooley (?), & Bobby Williams are coming w/ Saban to Miami
Muschamp is coming but likley as a defensive assistant, not the D-Co....Bates will not be returning and thats someone elses gain, the Chiefs should be falling all over themselves to bring him in....
