I dont see it happening for atleast another 2 years...The Wizards have a better chance at making it and they arent even a lock for the playoffs...the East is rising again and it is becoming harder and harder to get into the playoffs...

    1- Detroit
    2- Miami
    3- Indiana
    4- Milwaukee
    5- New Jersey
    6- Orlando
    7- Washington
    8- Cleveland

    That is just my opinion..

I think that not this year, but next year they might be able to grab that 8th seed. If this year Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, Eddie Curry, Tyson Chandler, Antonio Davis and Kirk Henrich live up to their expectations and the team becomes in the race for the playoffs, the bulls could attract outside free agents for the next year and maybe then they could contend for a playoff berth. But I'm pretty sure they're going to lose Jamal Crawford. Does Jerome Williams still play in Chicago?

Luol Deng is a very versatile player for his height, but I don't think that he will be as affective as some of the other rookies this year because he should have stayed at Duke for at least 1 more year. Next year he is going to be inexperienced though.

Ben Gordon has good leadership and winning the NCAA championship could very well boost his confidence even more. I didn't watch him very much this year though.

Eddie Curry, Tyson Chandler and Antonio Davis could be a VERY solid front court line. Eddie Curry and Antonio Davis both aren't afraid to bang with the other big guys, and neither is Tyson Chandler. Chandler is bound to have a breakout season soon and same with Eddie Curry. Antonio Davis is an older player but he could use his veteran age as a leadership role. He also still has skill too.

Kirk Henrich is a very good leader with scoring and passing capabilities. Being first team all rookie shows something in this young tallented player and he should most deffinately succeed next year and lead his team to many victories.

If Jerome Williams is still there he adds grit to the team and hustle, and IF Jamal crawford stays in Chicago, Chicago for sure has a great chance at making the playoffs next year, but if he doesn't then look for them in 2005-2006!

According to david aldreige the bulls have had the seventh best off season this summer http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/stor...avid&id=1844534 so imo they are very capable of making the playoffs with either a 7th or 8th seed imo. With hinrich and gordan in the back court you have two great shooters who were in the finals four in there college careers and gordan won the thing so he is a proven winner. He will bring the winning attitude to the bulls imo.

Then they have deng. A guy straight out of his first year at duke so you know he is a winner just from were he is coming from. He is going to be very good and average I believe double digit points this season with at least 6 rebounds. He will be like a maggette type playerwho improves his scoring every season in the nba and will be a force. Then there are tyson and curry to guys who have shown potential and have improved each year curry a little more than chandler do to him being hurt this year.

Chandler is 7 feet tall and can play any position from the 3 to center so he is a vertial big man a thing that any nba team needs to win. Then Curry has had monster games for the team in the past so he will definitly improve this year. I think tyson can be a all star in the future if he would just hit the gym once in a while and gain some muscle. Anyway I believe the bulls will shock the nba this season with a playoff run.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PointGuard720:</div><div class="quote_post">With Gordon, Heinrich, Crawford, Curry, Chandler, and others I think the Bulls will have a fantastic season.

But the main concern...will they make the playoffs?

With tough competition from the Pistons, Heat, Nets, and Sixers, its gonna be hard but i think they can

    what do you think?</div>

The Nets aren't really competition anymore considering Martin and Kittles are gone and Kidd wants out too. I don't think the Bulls will make the playoffs until their rookies start playing well. I think that may happen maybe in the 2006-2007 season. The Bulls also don't have that great of a bench
and they will need one to win.

They have a chance but don't we say that every year and get the same result? Being in the East i can see it happening but given the fact that they are starting such a young team who hasn't really played together makes it doubtful.

That doesn't mean that they don't have a good team. I actually like their team this year.

The Nets may be too high (someone had them #4). They don't have Martin and Kittles. Kidd and Jefferson might not be enough to even make the #8 spot.

But anyways, with the Nets, Celtics and even the Knicks all making it last year, the Bulls might have a shot at the playoffs. They can beat these teams, especially at home.

Saad, could you please make that all one post next time, as the post time was only 7 minutes apart, so, yea, do that please.

The Bulls do have a chance because the East might be weaker than ever this year. The Nets lost 2 big parts of that team with Kittles and KMart, so, that team is easily weaker now. But, they do still have JKidd and Jefferson so they have a good chance with those two I think.

The Celtics haven't done too much, they got some rookies, and who knows, maybe they'll produce. But, they don't have much outside of Pierce in my opinion. They made the playoffs last year at what, 36-46, that just goes to show how weak the East is at times.

So, just looking at some of the teams, I have to think the Bulls have a chance. It really depends on health of the players and how well this young team plays together. They really need Chandler and Curry to step up big this year and play to or at least torwards their true potential.

If we win 25 games this year, I will be very surprised.

Ok...now that the Bulls traded off Jamal, I think they're chances have slightly decreased. I say only slightly cause we haven't seen how this trade is going to work out in the end. The players we got could be good for us, who knows. I'm not going to look at the negative and complain cause we just lost our best player, I'm going to look at the positive and all the talented players they still have on their roster. I still they have a great chance at the playoffs if they get contributions from everyone and if Chandler and Curry finally have a big year for them. I'm still optimisitic. Losing one player doesn't kill everything in my opinion.
