I think if this guy stays healthy and gets the starter minutes like he asked for, he could give Theo Ratliff and Ben Wallace a run for their money in blocks. In 2002, he averaged 2.5 blocks in 21 minutes. Per 48 minutes that would be about 5.5 blocks beating out Theo Ratliff for the #1 spot in blocks per 48 minutes. You play O.D. 36 minutes surely it is possible to average 4 blocks per game (if he doesn't pick up fouls or the team isn't frequently over the limit and the opposing team continues to enter the O.D. No Fly Zone). His scoring production was not that bad either (career 4.6 points per game in average of 18.8 minutes per game) I could see Adonal getting 9 points per game, 10 rebounds or possibly just average a double double. I think he knows he'll never be a post up player so he's going to improve on his midrange game, improving his free throw shooting, and learning some spin moves in the paint a la Zach Randolph.
Lets say Rudeezy is right about the stats. Do you guys think it was worth the money paid? I do. Every analyst out there is criticizing the money the W's paid him, but that was the market for a solid center and if they would have let both Foyle and Damp walk, it would spell big trouble.
Lets put it another way, it is looking like Dampier won't get the huge contract that he expected. If they had given Dampier the money that Foyle got, who would you rather have? Dampier or Foyle? Projections are tricky. Go to nba.com, look up Shawn Bradley, do the same projections that you did for Foyle. Who would you rather have, based on the projections? You'd be suprised.
You can not compare Damp to Foyle. Mullin offered him a 2 year extension for $9-10m per season and he still refused. He is either cocky or did not want to be here.

That was obviously not the case. We wanted Damp to stay here but he had a different agenda so we signed the next best thing.

However, my estimation is that the Warriors will not be as good at the center position next year. I hope Foyle grows into his contract.
Projections are tricky. Go to nba.com, look up Shawn Bradley, do the same projections that you did for Foyle. Who would you rather have, based on the projections? You'd be suprised. If Bradley could actually commit to playing help defense, he'd play 30 min. per game. He's always been one step too slow, which I think is an attitude or a mental problem. And if you pay attention to both players rebounding numbers, you'll see that Foyle is a far superior rebounder. 10-12-3.5 and 1.5

If Finley and whoever replaces Nash would at least make some attempt to slow down the guy they are covering..... nah, getting off topic. Foyle: 9 point, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks. (With Davis, I don't think he'll get more than 30 minutes a game)
I guess with all these stats we forget that Bradley is a different player than Foyle. Foyle will sacrifice for the team and he hustles wheras Bradley always manages to lag behind, get t'ed, get into a shoving match, or get put in Don Nelson's dog house. That's why I think in terms of projections, Foyle's numbers will go further. Bradley is actually decent if you just want him to shoot over smaller guys, because he has a decent shooting touch so I might give him more in the scoring department, but he doesn't rebound as well like Foyle and he can't stop a transition offense by himself. I think Foyle can get at least 10 points a game with guys like Speedy and Dunleavy setting him up.
8/8/2.2 blk. You have to remember that Foyle actually has worse hands than Dampier and he is also foul prone as Dampier two years ago. I think Foyle will start, but he will share bulk of mins with Davis. And, I really don't see Foyle being a scoring threat. Because of big body, Dampier could pick up a lot of easy pts. Foyle doesn't have that body...
