I'm just wondering who do you think will be the better player in the long run. I believe it will be Ben Gordon. He went through 3 years of college and will be more prepared to produce this season. I believe he also has more offensive moves due to his quickness, and, he's also a lights out shooter with NBA range. And, he was also a shut down defender while at UConn. I believe Deng will be good, but, he doesn't have a huge array of offensive moves. He does have a nice shooting touch and provides some good length standing 6'8". But, in the long run, I believe Ben Gordon will end up being the better of the two first round picks.
ben is very good, but deng showed me something special in the rockey mt. tourny. deng is a small foward that can play big. and his shot looks real nice. ben kept losing his dribble off his leg . i hope it was because he had jitters.but when it's all said and done it will be deng comeing out of no were to poasterize all players.
I believe that gordna will be better this season because he is more ready for the nba game. He is fresh off a title win with Uconn so he knows what it takes to win he is more versitale at this point than deng. Deng spent only one seaosn at duke I see him developing like maggette a guy improving his game each year in the league. I believe both will be good in the long run though considering that they were both lottery picks and are very talented players pending a injury both will be good nba players. If thy have the work ethic I know gordan does, but deng is stil shacky on how good his work ethic is. Though Deng is from duke his winning tradition should carry on to the nba. Only guy I know out of first thought in my head from duke who didnt have that great a nba career is christian lattener and he is still a quality role player and very talented peace to have on your team. Though he never lived up to his expectations.
I think Gordon will be better because he was gotten more experience in college. He has played 3 years and also won a championship. Even in his workouts, he proved he could play at the NBA level and be a star in the future.
Ima take both of 'em, I think Deng will be good, looking at his impressive reviews from the summer league and his play at Duke. Ben Gordon will also be good playing for a winning program and his oozing offensive talents are gonna carry him a long way. I think both will be equally good but in the long, long run I think Deng is the better choice because he is a SF-PF and for those positions quickness isnt the top priority like it is for the gaurd positions that gordon plays and over time you dont stay as quick as you once were, ex. Gary "the glove" Payton.

He never played an NBA game, and playing an official NBA game is the only way you can prove yourself. Although I do think he will be a future star, he still hasn't proven he can play at this level.
Hmm, Both players have tremedous upside. Deng has great height and could be either a Carter or a Darius Miles Gordan on the other hand can be either a Ai type of just another player who has good talent but is undersized at the position he plays. Both players havent proved anything to me other then they have alot of talent they havent played in a true NBA atmosphere or against NBA talent like obie said playing in a summer league game doesnt prove anything. I think that Deng will be better the majority of players who are undersized at the postion they play dont do good and Deng will be a natural SF and can play that position on both ends and I think looking at it right now he has slightly better chances becoming a good NBA player then Gordan to me only my oppionion .
Both of the players have a great chance to be something big in the NBA, Deng is a solid player who can play inside and out and is a versatile player,I tihnk he could be that 15 and 5 type of player. Gordan is a also a good player he can play both guard postions and he knows what it takes to win he has a nice jump shot and with his quickness he gan get to the rim,I think in the end he will turn out to be the bigger and better player.
Im just glad we pulled off getting them both Gordon has skills Deng has smarts With out getting the #1 pick I dont think we could have done better in this years pitiful draft pool
