I am sure you have seen Randy responding to a reporter asking him about his fine & RM downplaying w/ incredible and stunning contempt Last night, Mark Schlereth (On ESPN) summed it up best, "When the doorbell rings @ my house the dogs bark. When an idiot opens his mouth, he says something stupid." MS went to say the RM may win 2 or 3 games a yr but his antics cause more contention in the locker room than he's worth. I guess the Dolphins who were criticized for not drafting him have the last laugh.
Randy Moss is biggest jerk in the nfl i mean he moons the best fans in the nfl and acts likes an idiot when he is fine and when they talked to him when he was goning to his car what a jerk

That being said he is a pretty big jerk
I find his comments more appalling than his antics. I really didn't see a big deal with the fake mooning - thought it was funny and the Packer fans deserved it. But his comments were WAAAY out of line. We all know how much these guys make but to throw "10k is not that much money" into the faces of people who work DAMN HARD to make ends meet, is a bit much. Especially when these same people trying to make ends meet are out supporting Moss by buying tickets and his jerseys. I like Randy but am disappointed with those flippant comments. And athletes wonder why they get so much shit in the media.
I too am dissappointed with his comments. I think the reaction to his fake moon was way overdone and I also think the fine was excessive, especially when Jake "The Snake" only got $5K for flipping the bird. Even T.O.'s ripping down of signs was worse to me than the fake moon. That to me is much worse than what Moss did, especially in light of the dialogue he has with Packer fans during the game and what Packer fans are known to do after the games. With all that said, he acted like a jerk. There is no excusing those comments. Is he a source of contention in the locker room as BA suggested? Not really. In fact, the media has been talking about how Randy's recent "distractions" have been good for the team, allowing them to not focus on what the media is talking about but rather on football. Sean Jenkins of the Pioneer Press even went so far as to suggest several controversial things Moss could do in next weeks game in case the Vikings get one step further.
i love nearly all TD celebrations, but the thing about thjis is the way he responded to it. he made it so much harder than it really is. i lost a lot of the little respect i have for him. i like him him as a football player, he isnt someone i would like to meet though.

Is he supposed to lie out of his mouth and say he is sorry? No one is expecting that, but it would be smarter to say nothing at all. This stuff has been argued over and over on this board and I think everyone can see that there is a fine line between individualism/expressionism and harmful things. Going from a Sharpy and a Cell phone to fake mooning to throwing water on an official. All are entertaining to some, and none are really harmful. Nobody has gotten hurt in any of these cases, but this creates a good example as to how putting the spotlight on yourself can quickly get out of hand.

Packers fans the best fans in the NFL, first of all packer fans deserve it, after Moss's fake mooning many people in the NFL said that Packer fans moon the visiting team's bus after they leave. So dont say anything about best fans. I think what i've learned after all this is Packers fans are more of a disgrace to the NFL by mooning visiting teams and then complaining when a guy fake moons them after he scores than Randy Moss doing that. (this is not a direct remark to all Packer fans just the ones who moon visiting teams buses and then complain about Moss)
Packer fans mooning the away team as the bus depart: Funny Moss returning the favor while knocking the Pack out of the playoffs:Funnier The NFL deciding that Moss mock-ass is worth twice as much as Jakes middle finger: Priceless As usual, the NFL can't see the forrest for the very hypocritical trees....
Vikings should trade Moss now...while he's still in his prime and worth something. The TEAM will be better off without him and they could use the cap space and draft picks to help out that defense.
It's a tough decision. Moss is a playmaker, the problem I think is Mike Tice. He's got to be the biggest Dope in the NFL.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eagles4Life)</div><div class='quotemain'>It's a tough decision. Moss is a playmaker, the problem I think is Mike Tice. He's got to be the biggest Dope in the NFL.</div> I am actually more for trading Moss this year than I ever have been. I have seen how his attitude can effect the entire team. Its not so much that he is a distraction, its just that he is a leader on the team. When he gets fired up, the whole team is fired up. When he gets down, the whole team gets down. Unfortunately, he gets down to easily. Now that we have seen just how good Nate Burleson can be (and I think we've only scratched the surface with him), I think we could pickup an entire defense for Moss. The only way I would want him to be traded would be two good defensive starters and a first rounder. Look for Baltimore to make a pass at the Vikings.
Gotta add this comment though...I still think trading Moss is extremely risky. He is, in my opinion, the biggest one person impact player during gameplanning. That's a reason in itself to not trade him.
Jets gotta get him, Pennington and Moss back together again. Imagine Pennington getting a big fast guy like Moss and him not getting plays from a conservative Paul Hackett but a imaginative Hemandinger (thats his name i think) would be incredible. Plus the Jets can afford to lose draft picks. If they sign everyone thier only real hole will be TE and CB but they arent realy that big of a hole. So i think the Jets would be complete with a guy like Moss around
