I love the excitement of seeing a guy playing his former team, but this is getting to be too much. This means that we'll have to constantly purchase programs just to remember who made that last shot. This reminds me of when you play an NBA game on your console, and you agree to a fantasy draft. Let's try to keep our familiar faces.
i know it upsets me a little nowe that the rockets look like the magic with yao ming. and the magic are....pretty much the rockets without yao ming. the Lakers will be almost unrecognizeable. The Suns may do well FRIGHTENINGGGGG. Golden state may contend for a playoff birth and denver may very well be the new powerhouse of the west. way too much confusion for this cat. Uncertainty is word that best describes this season. great individual players who had become accustomed to there teams are now in new places and how they react to that will be a big question. on the other hand it will be exciting to see the diesel on the heat with a new guard who maybe become every bit as potent as kobe or hardaway with shaq. while the lakers have a more classic team oriented .....team this year. Detroit ....i don't like the piston's so i'm hoping they all like don't do well. Indiana I want to win a championship so bad if only for Miller because if anyone deserves one its him. it will also be interesting to see how the rookie prospects do and how well players such as wade lebron and carmelo have improved over the offseason and through the olympic experience.
The change is good IMO. There wont be as many changes next year. Teams will be tryin to build on all the new trades made this year.

Same arguements same stuff going on soon people will get board of the shit and stop paying attention. With all these moves going on its great for the nba because they will have networks like tnt and tnn and abc all those fighting for games to broadcast. When networks compete nba wins. Imagine how many networks are gona wana broadcast tmacs return to orlando. Or Shaq vs Yao. Then you have Shaq vs kobe and if phil returned you could have shaq vs phil. It will be like the old bulls dynasty when everyone split up and went to different teams. There will be so many must see games this season nba tv ratings will sky rocket and the season will be the most intresting in years because there is no dynasty no team that is a so called "lock" to get to the finals or win it all. I am happy with this season overall except for the fact that the wolves havent gotten anyone new. Overall its good though.
I said it on July 29th and I'll say it again. Even some of the celebrities are in agreeance in this fact. Gary decided to stay and got sent to the Celtics for his sentiment. Corliss Williamson, Rick Fox, Steve Nash, Kenyon Martin, Carlos Boozer, Vlade Divac, etc....
I'm gonna have to totally disagree with you if their were no changes than, basically we'd be watching Detroit dominate again. No more ESPN filled Laker Drama segments, We get to see matchups we thought would never happen... Kobe v. Shaq Nowitzki n' Filey v. Nash Kmart v. Kidd Vlade v. Peja I'm siked about the changes, but you are entitled to your opinion.
Change is good. Seeing the same guys on the same team in the same playoff matches every year gets old. Im sick of hearing the critics hype Shaq VS Duncan, now I hope it may be Shaq VS Duncan in the finals, it makes for a more exciting series.
Well you have to take the good with the bad. With the changes there will probably be a dip in rivalries such as the Lakers and Kings and Shaq and Yao (though some could argue that it could heighten that rivalry). Despite those dropoffs though we can finally settle some longtime disputes like how Kobe does with a team built for him and how McGrady can cope with a dominate big man like Yao. It also creates new rivalries between former teams as mentioned. The changes around the league don't bother me a bit. If anything I would be more pro-change because it really shows what teams have the good front offices and what teams could use a mass layoff.

But how can we see great teamwork and have an identity when there is constant change? Look at a team like the Kings and Spurs who can constantly bring the whole "team" feel to a game. When you see them, you can tell that they've been together for awhile because they can pick up on subtleties and know what to do in certain situations. Alot of you younger watchers don't know how it is to see an actual rivalry. Rivalries aren't about franchises perse, there about the players. The Heat versus the Knicks, The Bulls and the Pistons AND THE KNICKS, Celtics and the Lakers....it was about Mourning and his crew versus Ewing, Starks, Oakley (a fight every year). Magic Versus Isaiah or Bird. The Queens against the Lakers. And to assume that the Pistons would win again is totally erroneous because they won by circumstance in my opinion.

Although it does diminish some of the rivalries, it is also going to be creating new ones.(Shaq n' Yao or Duncan but now we can see it in the Championship) And some players do hold grudges against the teams that they were traded from. I can definitely see where your going since the My Mavs will be going from Howard-to-Vanexel-to-Antwins-now to...Well it's still to be decided.
All this change may be a great thing for the NBA, coz now the league seems more balanced, and now anyone has a shot (except for the obvious ones, Atlanta, Charlotte) have a chance at making the NBA Playoffs. I'm very excited about this upcoming season, and looking forward to LeBron James being one of the most dominate players in the game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Troy Wingate:</div><div class="quote_post"> LeBron James being one of the most dominate players in the game.</div> LeBron James? One of the most dominant players in the game this year? I dont think so buddy. Shaq is the most dominant in the East. While Tim Duncan is the most dominant in the West. I hope you know theres a difference between dominantn and best. LeBron JAmes can probably be a top 15 player next year if he improves his game. No where near Dominant though as he is easily stopped. And YA T-Mac is overrated and would've turned that team around like Shaq did and thnx for the people who like that paragraph.
