Are us Wiz fans the only ones that think we will be playoff contenders..I think we will be a 6-8 seed...Arenas is going to be a monster this year if he can stay healthy..health held us down last year, lets hope it doesnt do it again.. [IMG]

I think we are, no one else seems to think the Wizards will make it, but they have just as good a chance as the Sixers, Raptors, Knicks, Celtics, Bucks etc, and more or at least equal talent as many of those teams.

You gotta realize something, it is in 'vogue' to hate on the Wizards. Notice that when we beat a team like the Mavericks, they have to put a "spin" on it that makes it seem like the Mavs were tired, hell...even EJ puts that negative spin on things. When you have the most dominant player in the history in the game in MJ and still end up in the lottery, it looks bad. Give us a couple years of competitive basketball and we'll start to get the respect 'cos we will have earned it.

If we stayed healthy we could've made it last year. I think we're an even better team this time around, we'll make it. 7 year drought ends this season. I can't wait to go to some playoff games.

Early in the season last year, the wizards almost seemed like they were guaranteed a playoff spot and Gilbert was an all-star lighting it up, until he came across an injury. The Wizards have a lot of upcoming players that have a big chance of making the all-star team like gilbert arenas and antawn jamison. I also see Kwame being a contender for the most improved player this year if all goes well. If not that much injuries occur this season (mainly on arenas) than I see the wizards getting a shot at the playoffs.

i'm saying the Wizards get the 7 spot in the playoffs and have to take on either the Pistons or the Magic.

[IMG] There is no way in HADES that the Magic take the 2 spot

Let's see...because of teams like the Heat and Pacers. Heck, even our beloved Wizards are looking more 2-spot worthy than the Magic.
