Nothing, JJ is likely not going anywhere, Q should be the one on the block [IMG]

Suns should trade Johnson while his trade value is really high. The Suns don't really need him anymore. Q should be their shooting guard of the future, he also fits their style much better.

A Nene for Johnson trade would be a soild one.

I don't know if the Suns are going to trade anyone. I don't know if you guys realise JJ racked up the most minutes per game of ANY NBA player! Maybe a rotation between him and Q and maybe even involving Marion. The Suns seem pretty stoked he's fallen into their laps so I'm not sure about a trade. JJ is a excellent player and averaged something like 22 points after Marbury trade. [IMG]

    What about Marion?

I think JJ isn't going anywhere, I think Marion might be on the go. If JJ could prove that he can play SF then I think Marion should be traded for a center....Their lineup can look pretty nice if they do a sign and trade with GS and get Dampier, Speedy Claxton, and possibly another SF...Their Lineup if they can get Dampier:

    PG: Nash
    SG: Q-Rich
    SF: Joe Johnson
    PF: Amare
    C: Damp

Thats a pretty good line up for a team that finish in the last 10 in the league

I read that JJ is going to be the main SG then he is a free agent and he will want big bucks and might not sign back with the Suns so thats why Q was signed.

I say they leave the line-up the way it is. Maybe trade some back-ups for a better center. Like some combination of Eisley, Jacobsen, and Lampe for a center. But not Marion or JJ. They were our two best most consistent players last year. I would be very dissapointed if either was traded.

I dont know if they should trade him at all, yeah he polayed good but he averages like 16 PPG in 40MPG thats ok but I think he would be ok off the bech to he would be a good back up to Marion and there is no use to trading him or the Matrix.

We should trade Marion...Period. We don't need him and we need a center. The SF position is filled. Its time for the Suns to make some tough decisions and trade some players. Better trade now then lose latter.

I would start JJ over QR any day. JJ is a silent assasin and he will kill you every night as long as you give him the minutes. Q is a good player but like someone stated in another thread, he takes way too many crazy shots and he has alot of turnovers. Johnson knows the Suns style of play and think he well deserves that starting position. If he doesn't get it he should want to be somewhere else.

The last 4 months of the season, Joe Johnson averaged 19.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists a game, shot 44.7%, and played 43.1 minutes a game.
He's also a very good defender, very versatile, and takes care of the ball well.

I'd never play Q-Rich over him, and JJ never played that well when he was a backup.

Wow,I didnt know that that means he was stepping up when it mattered maybe he should start before Q Rich but I doubt that will happen because the Suns probally paid good money for him and are going to start him,the point I am trying to make is that Marion shouldnt be the one on the trade block.

JJ is a good player but I think he would help his the Suns a lot better if he could produce off the bench behind Shawn Marion.

If Q-rich is just going to come off the bench, what a waste of money. Not that I'm saying he shouldn't, I'm a big fan of JJ and think he deserves better than being relegated back to warming the plank, but jeeze. We need a fricking center. [IMG]

JJ is really good but so is Q, I dont know who I want to come off the bench but I know that either JJ or The Matrix is on the block because of acquiring Q. Q played really good this season and proved himself worthy of the contract he recieved. Amare desires a legit center to play alongside and we have JJ, Q, and The Matrix in the SG-SF slots one of them is going to go but which one?? I dont think it will be Q, and JJ is a rising star so no point in making him leave but Marion is already a star and was an allstar snub and is marketable because of his athelticism so we could get someone good for him.
