And of course, here is the update.
    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince Carter says it's time to go.

"It's time for the truth: I want to be traded, I'm ready to be traded," the 27-year-old Raptor all-star told the Star last night.

"First and foremost, this has nothing to do with the fans or the city, it's just time for me to look after me."

Carter, who has been the subject of intense trade rumours since the end of the season, said his decision to go public last night is because he's frustrated at the pace of trade talks the Raptors have been pursuing.</div>

Yeah, I know that VC has requested a trade but inorder for the Knicks to even get in the running(if the Raptors was willing to take offers), it would more then likely require the Knicks giving up their floor leader, Steph because he is the only player that would excite(somewhat) the Raptors. Imo, you only give up Steph for a better pg ie a healthy kidd or a top bigman. I would never trade Steph for a wing player not named Kobe. Vince would be nice but not at the expense of the Knicks franchise point guard. And before anyone else says it, No, Crawford cant run the point as a starter, he proved it in Chi-town, doesnt have the instincts needed.

If the Knicks could pull off a move that would include Tim Thomas or/and Allan Houston for VC(and what ever else to make it work under the cap), then I say it would be a good move. But thats very unlikely...the Knicks would be able to acquire Vince without giving up Steph, so VC is just a fantasy the Knicks need to pass on.

Vince has got to give Rob Babcock a chance. The same thing happened with an unhappy Garnett in Minny and he's happier than ever now. If things arn't going well, he can always be dealt at the trade deadline.
