Okay this is not any rumor floating around, but it's just a trade idea because these teams are looking for trades.

    Nets get: Kurt Thomas
    Shandon Anderson
    Frank Williams

    Mavs get: Jason Kidd

    Knicks get: Antoine Walker

Just add some more players and money around to make the trade work, but this is would be the basis of it.

The Nets know kidd probably wants to leave so they get a good power forward, shooting guard, and a decent point guard for him, they fill up the voids left by martin, kittles, and kidd. This deal would kill talks about Crawford going to the Knicks (YAY! JC STAY IN CHICAGO!!).

The Mavs get Jason Kidd to run the point after loosing nash, so they can maybe play daniels at sg, and bring harris around slowly.

The Knicks wanted Antoine Walker so they get antoine walker.

Probably the Nets and Knicks get ripped off here, so maybe add a few players going to them, i don't want to run this through real gm, it was just an idea i had. what do you guys think? and please don't say it's a stupid idea and will never happen because i know it's not the greatest idea and won't happen.

All right since you asked so nicely I wont completely kill your trade idea, I go nice and keep it short & sweet to the point.

The Nets are dumping bad contracts not adding them on, so they arent going to take on Shandon Anderson's horrible deal for the next 2 or 3 years. And Kurt Thomas is solid doing the dirty work etc., but they arent going to take on his contract for 4 years during a rebuilding stage either

Frank Williams has potenial but hasnt proven he can run a team as a point guard or even an every game backup so he definately wouldnt be worth the Nets taken on the other 2 contracts.

Isiah has been kind of tight with giving up Frank Williams, so Iam not forsure if he would give up Kurt Thomas & Frank Williams in the same trade. That might be there 2 best trade bait outside of trading Steph. So he might want to move them in two seperate deals.

yeah, talk about the Knicks stacking up on huge contracts... I mean comeon...they have Mutumbo, Allen Houston, and I think Stephon Marbury all at max

the only one i think that even deserves it is Marb

guess ur wrong, because the Mavs just picked up Jason Terry today.

To me, this was a bad move for the Mavs. Jason Terry is not a pure point guard, he is a straight gunner. The Mavs dont need another player who can shoot the ball and score, what they need is a pure point guard

That's a nice trade. I think if Dallas got Kidd, they'd be in a better situation to make a run at the championship than when they had Nash. Kidd is a much smarter PG than Nash.

well take off the knicks from the trade and i bet it still has a shot. Kidd is going to be in dallas in two months, they have to wait to trade terry. terry and some other mavs like stackhouse or others for kidd. i read it in some article that trading terrry and some other players for kidd is most likely going down if kidd demands a trade. i'll try to find the article later and edit my post and add it.

There is 2 problems with this trade: A) NJ won't be giving J Kidd away like that unless he demanded a trade...[IMG] Why would Dallas do this after getting Jason Terry?

that's y i said it will only happen if kidd demands a trade, read the whole thing, don't skim. here's the article...

    Terry and Kidd

Well Jason Terry is young and i think would fit well with the nets and terry does not fit well with the mavs like someone said before.
