Wow... Chungster was really hating on the game... that's really too bad, because it's really a game for the fans. I gotta say... you buy tickets for a game, expecting to see the 10-12 guys listed (not very exciting AT ALL)... then you go... and you get to see a preview of Andre (AI2) Igoudala... let alone the overshadowed Dahntay Jones... they both put on one hell of a show... and neither were on the bill. Granted, Vince mostly stuck to the perimeter... and all in all... there were way too many 3's... but to say Jalen was boring is just RUDE. That guy gave it up to the other players more than anyone else. Not that numbers matter in a game like this... but for those who didn't go... Jalen tallied 23 pts, 17 rebs, 20 assists... come on... that's just disgusting. He was shooting his 3's from out of bounds (refs let it slide), and that was pretty funny (he did it a few times)... Tractor was doing it all... 3's... dunks... and he hung on to the rim after one of them... looked like it would come crashing down. Mo Pete did a fair amount of driving to the lane, which was refreshing... all in all... the show was definitely stolen by Igoudala... Jones was a pleasure to watch... and everyone should do themselves a favour, and book little Terrell for your next birthday... Too many 3's... not even Vince reassuring fans he's here to stay (although his reference to "us getting Mo Pete back" was refreshing)... and sure... it COULD have been better... but tell me this... what other ball are you gonna watch in the summer? I'm certainly glad I went... (if he leaves, you'll be sorry you took the game for granted) (everyone was giving love to Super Fan... it was crazy)
wuz there ne D? the vince i kno wud take it to tha rack everytime! D or no D instead of takin all those 3's
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Fundamentals:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince Carter could have done those dunks and beyond two or three years ago.</div> Yea, but this isn't 2 or 3 years ago.
^ i'm sorry. you said "Igoudala put down some dunks and alley oops that Vince Carter would envy." and I missinterpreted what you meant by it. I thought you meant that Carter could never do those dunks, even in the past. honest mistake
Man, Igoudala just stole the whole show. He just wanted to show off what the Raptors passed up on in the draft. I just hope Araujo doesn't turn out to be a bust cuz it'll kill me to think we passed up on a dunking machine for a scrub. But then again, just because he can dunk doesn't mean he's a skilled baller (e.g. Darius Miles). I guess it's just cuz he reminds me of Vince back in his rookie season.

Yes, he's a dunking machine... but he's certainly an all-around player... he even got a triple double for Arizona this past year (and I'm pretty sure he even got 2 - just not sure)... My thinking on the not-drafting of Igoudala is that Babcock is assured that Vince will stay... with the signing of Rafer... we've now got a logjam at the 1,2+3... Before Rafer... it was clear that we needed to address our holes... the pg, and the center... we did one with the draft (although another big is still needed)... the other with the signing. But it'll be fun watching Igoudala tear it up with AI...
^^ Iggy is also capable of playing the point and is a very good passer and rebounder, so now he wouldn't mimick Daruis Miles at all.
game was pretty boring but jalen's numbers were pretty amazing...as well as skip's handles....dahntay's dunks were cool...but overworked...jamison did nothing...and i saw this guy a row in front of me (section 101, row 26) taping the entire game...shammond was funny and so was the co-host playa playa....he kept saying tractor everytime trayloe got the ball and scored and told him to lay off the whitecastle burgers...lol..and when shammond was doing bad he was like" williams...i should play for you...you doing terrible'...lol...shammond hit like a three right after...iggy did an insane windmill and there was a lot of alley-ooping, with no ending...vince carter was a wuss and wouldnt dance to beyonce even though he said he would do it...and shammond chased after a cheerleader...that was all the goood parts of the game....but that was prolly it...keisha chante blew...and the bucket boys were good. oh yea....vc led the scoring but with all his threes...i wonder who could beat him...he threw his shoe into the stands and a lucky fan got it....really wished it was me though, i wouldve sold it 5 years from now...
I saw the game last night on Raps TV. I know what everyone was talking about when it comes to the threes! Holy there must have been 50 three point shots taken! There were some great dunks. VC had a nice finish from a behind the back oop by Dahnte Jones. There was absolutely no D at all. I've been to a couple of these games and at least guys would try to defend a bit, but not at all in this game. Seriously guys were just walking around the floor on D. If a guy decided to take 5 steps from the 3pt line and dunk it, that was OK. No whistle, no guys playing D, just everyone on the floor watching. I'd have to say it was one of the worse ones I've seen. Glad I didn't fly into TO this year to watch it.
i liked the little bit when shammond williams was dancing with that hot dancer and she walked away while he followed her.
I dunno if this is such a great 'preview' of things to come form him. It's like the rookie all-star game last eyar. lol.
I just watched it on Raptors NBA TV, Dahntay and Iggy put on a show. Rafer was OK and VC slammed down a few good ones but there was WAY WAY WAY too many 3 pointers taken. Every 3, 3 pointers there was one dunk.
