I got this idea from another forum and yall probably seen this on ESPN so I thought it would be cool to see what you guys think. I will say a statement about the NBA of course . If you think its fact, put fact and give a reason (if you want), then put another statement, which the next person will answer, same thing for false.

    For example.
I say. T-Mac will have a wonderful season blah blah.

Then somebody says Ficiton and they give their reason.
Then that person has to make a topic.
Like they say The Lakers will dominate. And so on.

    i will start first.

Despite Shaq traded to Miami, the Lakers will still dominate in the upcoming years.

    is it fact or fiction?

I have to say fiction, they have no dominant big man force and you can't dominate in the western conference without a dominant presence downlow, and Lamar Odom will not want to bang around down low.

Kobe will win the MVP award

    Fact or Fiction?

I think he could be a canidate, but you can't ignore Jermaine O'Neal, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett.

    Fact or Fiction

Miami has recived Shaq, but they are too shallow to be any threat to high rated teams.

Fact. He has no Shaq in LA anymore and will therefore get more shooting chances and I think he'll be seen as a bit of a ballhog becuase of that.

T-Mac and Yao the next Dynasty?

    Fiction

Detroit has already exposed the fact that a two man roster has grown old. Teams need more players who can step up any night and not just once every blue moon.

Lebron James will be an MVP canidate this season.

Fact. He's still young and is good. He has a good chance of being a candidate for the MVP 2004-2005.

Carmelo will be much better than Dwyane Wade and Lebron James next year.

    Fact

He has missed so many games due to his ankle, and once it has messed up to the point where you cant put pressure on it every day, it's done. He's done.

Cleveland will end up winning 50+ games this season.

Fact, They lost Nash who was a big key to their successs but even with Nash they only ended up 5th. Now Houston, Utah, Phoenix are rising up and they will push Dallas out of the playoff spots.

    Fact of Fiction

Ben Wallace will win the defensive award again.

Fact. Dallas still has no dominant big man, and the loss of Nash and the aging of Finley will turn their once-proud backcourt into the duo of talented guards in Daniels and Harris, but their lack of experience will hurt. I can see them in contention for one of the last playoff spots, but it will be hard for them to get far.

The Grizzlies are still one dominant player away from a championship.

Fact. Howard has a good point guard in Francis, who will improve his game. If you look back in history, the great rookies had a great point guard. Webber had Mookie Blaylock, Kemp had Payton, Stoudemire had Marbury etcetera. The Bobcats don't have a great point guard that will help maintain Okafor's game, so therefore, Howard will be more productive as a Rookie and probably for his whole career.

Fact or Fiction: Dwight Howard will be the next Garnett.

Francis won't be improving anyones game, sorry to say Chungster. He's not a true point guard. He's a shoot first, pass second point guard, and that won't help Dwight. That's why it didn't work with him and Yao. JVG wanted him to pass more often, and he still didn't. He's not a pure point guard, he's always been a shooting point guard who is selfish and doesn't help improve anyone.

I don't know all that much about Dominique so, I don't have much of an opinion either way about that topic. I'll just go out and say fact though because the NBA HOF isn't baseball. You don't need godlike stats to get in it, it's more leniant.

Fact or Fiction: New Orleans makes the playoffs out west.

Fact... Look beyond the dunks people... He did some pretty impressive things...

Fact/Fiction : Considering he doesn't waist his energy on offense, Duncan can guard Shaq?

Edit : Hell, my fact was for 'Nique getting into the HOF... Wtf did you change that Chungster? [IMG]

Fiction: Although they faired well without Mash last year, they need someone else besides Baron in the West. Jamaal isn't a huge offensive Force. And the fact is, their are teams out there with more talent and better players.

Fact or Fiction: Vince Carter enters the 2005 Dunk contest if healthy, despite the 3 year rule.
