"The Denver Nuggets, who have been very active this offseason, remain active, as GM Kiki Vandeweghe is seeking a swingman. Options being discussed include resigning Jon Barry, as well as sending forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili to the Phoenix Suns for either Joe Johnson or Casey Jacobson, who are now expendable shooting guards with the signing of Quentin Richardson."

Off the REal gm Wire tap...If Denver gets Joe Johnson, there SG,SF,PF,C are all 6'7 plus. Big Championship contenders with that kind of size. Yours Thotz?

I dont know why they would trade JJ, he really came about in the 2nd half last year. What would Denver trade? Keep Joe and have him come off the bench, or play Marion at PF
    pg-nash
    sg-JJ
    sf-richardson
    pf-marion
    c-voskul

I think the Suns will trade Marion and his huge contract instead to somewhere.

Wink that roster is all wrong, if they moved marion to power forward then Sotudemire wouldn't play. And he isn't a center if you want to put him in and take Voskul out.

I dont think the nuggets will ever be able to pull off a decent trade because they have nothing any team wants. The peaces that other teams do want the nuggets are unwilling to trade they have basically no bench besides rodney white and jon barry. Earl they wont trade either so basically you have them tring to trade no name players for players with talent.

Like when they were tring to work out a trade with the wolves they wanted to send a no name player to the wolves for trenton hassel. Instead of offering one of there big name guys they wanted to offer a guy who never showed any potential for a player who was a great defender for the wolves. Now they want to trade this no name player for JJ if the suns are smart this wont go down.

Shawn Marion is not big enough to play PF!I dont know why jJ or the Matrix has to be traded the Matrix should start at SF and JJ would bring it off the bench, there is no point in trading but if they were going to I would be looking to trade JJ before Shawn.

I dont see the suns wanting to trade away Joe Johnson, he is a very young and promising player who will be able to help the Suns down the road

THe Suns Dont Need jj, they have Quentin Richardson now. Even if they kept JJ, JJ is gonna be pissed casue he still wouldnt be starting. Apparently the Suns were interested in Nikoloz Ssd;fkasd;faf , jon barry, and a first round pick for JJ.

Barry/Tskitishvili for Joe Johnson makes sense...

Why would the Nuggets want Jacobsen? He's a great shooter but does nothing else...they already have Lenard as their designated gunner, but Johnson will bring them athleticism and overall scoring at the 2 spot...

yea...cept marion is WAY too small to play power forward in the west, and amare isnt even in your line-up. not too sure what you were thinkin when you posted this. matrix would get punished on a nightly basis having to guard, KG, duncan, elton, z-bo, nowitzki, webber...etc

    sf-richardson
    pf-amare

k there it is, trade marion for bench players

the suns got a steal trading for JJ, they gave up Rodney Rogers, he is a nice unselfish player who many teams would be interested in. Keep him

Joe Johnson shouldnt be on th Bench, hes too talented. His shooting%,Average,Assist EVERTYhing shot up like crazy after stephon marbury left. If Joe Johnson gets to start i think that were looking at 25ppg 6assist 6 reb 1.5 st per game..for the right team but he woudl also be a great fit in denver. him, carmelo and Kenyon form a great big three

well considering Marion is what? 6'7 6'8.... i believe he could be capable of playin PF... Elton Brand himself is like 6'7 6'8 and he's playing PF, and i don't believe Nuggets have Lenard or Barry cuz they are on the FA... if not prove me wrong

rofl Marion playing pf, hes 6^7 and has the skinniest body. It would be like asking Tmac or kobe to play PF. Eltib brand is 6^8 but he has a big body taht can play pf

The only way I'd be happy with JJ leaving is if we can pull a trade, JJ for Nene, then I'd be happy.
Nene can play C, and he team will be extremely athletic, I'd stil rather get rid of Q-Rich, don't know why he was even signed, but he should'nt start over JJ.

Also Marion can't play PF, that's just stupidness.

yes this is probably the best thing for both teams! denver gets a great player who has loads and loads of talent and phoenix get a guy who can play center and they have a solid startin lineup of
    PG-Nash
    SG-Q
    SF-Marion
    PF-Amar?
    C-Nene
this is an excellent trade for both teams because the nuggets have camby who is a excellent center and now they have K-mart then nene will just come off the bench.

Why not? He's 6'11 260 lbs. He's more than capable of playing center IMO.
