There are rumors swirling around Realgm that Kwame broke his ankle playing a pickup game in GA...the guy who posted it posts rarely, but according to them he is very accurate with his news and was the first to report of Jared Jeffries Torn ACL..Kwame was supposed to be hitting the gym/courts hard this offseason to..I hope he is wrong about this situation..I really believed he was going to blow up this year because it was his contract year..if this is true lets hope that it wont be a nagging injury... Uh oh...bad thing for Kwame. This will surely drop his value if he ends up having a terrible season because of this...and what a bad time to pick a broken ankle, right before he has the opportunity to make more money. Ouch.

yes very bad..I hope this isnt true but according to the fellas at realgm this guy is right about 90% of the time..Broken Ankles dont take that long to recover, and are the best ankle injuries you can get because if properly healed they heal 100%, I just hope this isnt true...

I read it too when it came out on RealGM, but I'm not sure if it's true yet, but by the sounds of it, it will likely be true.

I sincerely hope that there is no truth to this rumor. It seems like it would have been on the washington post/times or espn by now though.

Real bad for brown if this is true he will miss mabye most of if not all of this season and after being labeled a bust likely he will not see a big pay day any time soon if this is true. Also when he does come back from this ankle if its true he may become a grant hill type player and keep injuring it or be lost in the teams rotation do to him not knowing the offense.

He was probable the worst draft pick in the last couple of years at number 1. He will keep that label on him until he proves different and he may have done that this year unless this is true. If this is true prepare to see him killed with bad comments from press and nba analysts.

He averaged 10 points last year. He was finally coming around, but this injury will set him back big time. He had developed a small reputation as a good shot blocker already hopefully this turns out not to be true because if it does his hops will take a huge hit and it will be hard for him to get in the air and block shots.

You should know that the best place for Kwame news is Realgm or the Georgia papers, the Washington area papers do a horrible job of covering the Wizards

UPDATE: Washington area sports radio host Scott Jackson has told a caller that he would have his staff call the Wizards to find out..I think this is true after all the credibility this poster is getting it is more and more likely to be true..

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting REALGM MEMBER:</div><div class="quote_post">
Yeah - DC101 rarely posts, but when he has in the past, he's pretty much been on the money with news in advance of printed reports. If true, I hope its just a stress fracture.</div>

The story behind this guy is that he has a college buddy that is on the Wizards training staff and informed him about the injury and according to the guy on the staff his ankle is pretty messed up...

Wizards forward Kwame Brown broke a bone in his right foot during a pickup game in Georgia last week and will have surgery Tuesday.

``Our doctors are confident that the surgery will be successful and that Kwame will be ready for training camp in October,'' general manager Ernie Grunfeld said Monday.

I got this from Yahoo news.

What a relief...The guy was wrong about the injury, jsut a broken pinky toe...why the hell does he need surgery, Ive broken both of my pinky toes a couple of times...

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kwame Brown will undergo surgery tomorrow on the fifth metatarsal of his right foot (pinky toe), which he broke while scrimmaging with college players at a Georgia university gym. Doctors will insert a pin to stabilize the area and help the healing process.

"Kwame suffered a fractured bone in his foot and will have surgery to repair the fracture Tuesday," said Grunfeld. "Our doctors are confident that the surgery will be successful and that Kwame will be ready for training camp in October." </div>

That was a big relief...

    Kwame to have foot surgery

these injuries are often confused for twisted/sprained/broken ankles and that is what they first believed happen, they thought he broke his ankle..this is the same injury that Jevon Kearse had, it took hima full year to recover..

This an be..remember Shaq's toe Injury..granted he was lazy but Kwame doesnt have the best work ethic either, but rumors are that he improved it over the offseason..I just hope it doesnt take a year to heal like it did for Jevon Kearse
