Not sure if this is old news as I haven't really visited this forum that much, but:

Pretty interesting read. I'm not a huge Kings fan though, and my view of Webber has been on the decline for the past couple seasons.. This guy seems to talk a lot about his effort and such, and seems to enjoy calling out his teammates--all despite not being effective on the floor himself.

Just wanted to see what Kings fans thought about him [IMG]

He sounds really frustrated in Sactown.

well, its pretty obvious that he and Miller are not getting along.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Q: Now, that sounds like Vlade (Divac), but it also could refer to Brad Miller ?

A: Everybody has their own style, so, this is my opinion. Vlade is definitely the best big man I've ever played with. I have no problems with him or going to L.A. I think it was a great decision, financially, for him and he's at the end of his career. I love Vlade and I will always love Vlade. And I'll always be his biggest supporter. ? He was not the reason why we were losing. He was great in the locker room. But now that Vlade is gone, the team is going to take my tone.</div>

seems to me like he is not happy with someone's performance at C... be it Divac or Miller, dunno, he doesnt really say, but he does talk up Divac and says nothing about Miller when directly asked.

Perhaps its what they need... a bit of noise in the locker room to stir things up a bit.

as for his "declining" performance, as I have said before, I will hold judgement untill i see how he plays in the upcoming season. If he is back to 100% its all good... if not, time to move on... but there is no way that anyone can really say that based on last season... he needs to prove himself this year now that he should be back to 100%.

As far as the 'new attitude' goes, perhaps he is genuine in what he says about changing his approach to the game and the players on the team. One of the things that the Kings have always been dis'ed on is the fact that they lack a killer instinct or real mental toughness when the game starts slipping away. His change in attitude would definetly help in that area, especially if it rubs off a bit on the other players. But there is really no way at this point in time to see if he is for real or all talk untill he steps out on the floor and starts playing.

All things will be answered soon enough and as I have said several times before, this year is make or break for a lot of things, Webber and Adelman included.

    FYI:
according to Mark Kreidler, Webber was refering to Divac

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Webber can do angry with words. He can do empathetic with words. He can essentially eviscerate the work habits of departed center Vlade Divac, which Webber does in an extended interview with The Bee's Martin McNeal today, and yet go on to say with apparent total sincerity, "I love Vlade and will always love Vlade."</div>

I dont quite see it the same way that Kreidler does, but hey... when a someone does a lot of talking about a subject he really doesnt want to get nailed down on (Webber), the result is something that can be taken a lot of ways.

Great differing view points about Webber.

It's obvious that Webber is whining again.too bad.he's seems to be acting like a spoiled child cause he hasn't gotten his way to the NBA Title.it's too bad he has to have this kind of an attitude.perhaps this will be his year,as if he keeps on acting the way he has,if he does great or not, maybe he's on his way out due to his bad attitiude.
