I got this from NBA.com <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The defending NBA champion Detroit Pistons tip off the NBA's "Basketball New Year" as part of Premiere Week on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. ET when they host the Houston Rockets at the Palace of Auburn Hills on opening night of the league's 59th season. </div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">TNT's coverage of the Rockets-Pistons game, highlighted by the ring ceremony for the 2004 NBA champions and Tracy McGrady's regular-season debut with Houston, is the first of Premiere Week's 11 nationally televised games, including four straight nights of doubleheaders. </div> I think this can be a good situation for Houston, what better way to start off the season by knocking off the Champs.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow! This should be a great game. How many televised games do the rockets have</div> I hope all of our games come on TV, or we're gonna have a problem. If you mean nationally, 33, the most allowed by the league. I dont know if we can beat these guys, thought we did last year, they're getting their rings that game, and they already dominated the Lakers.. It will be a good game, defensive struggle, Yao having a field day (sigh..), Tmac not letting Rip breathe (I wish), this game could go either way.. We're just gonna have to wait and see (YET AGAIN..).
What a way to start the season! But im a little concern about their shedule. The first two weeks are ruff and March has 11 of 16 games on the road.

I think we'd have to get to at least 30 wins before the All-Star break to guarantee a top 6 finish in the West.
Plus they play Miami for the first game of the preseason! This was set up before Shaq even came to Miami. They play it in miami btw.
