<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Larry Brown wants to move on. The U.S. Olympic basketball coach said yesterday that the suspension of 76ers star Allen Iverson, LeBron James and Amare Stoudemire was forgotten. He would rather focus on a tough road trip against some of Europe's top teams leading up to the Athens Olympics. Brown refused to let Iverson, James and Stoudemire play in the team's 96-71 win over Puerto Rico on Saturday, punishment for the trio showing up late for a team meeting. "It won't happen again. They'll play the next game and some will start," Brown said.</div> Full Article Courtesy of the Associated Press Nice to know that they are all on the same page, though it's not like their tardiness was that big of a deal. Also, sounds like Allen will start, in place of Carmelo most likely, even though he had a pretty decent game.
I am glad they are moving on from what I understand from articles I have read on hoopshype.com and other bball sites yesterdays suspensions were an over reaction by larry brown. Lebron was supposable only 5 minuteslate for the meeting while amare says he was only 1 minute late. I am glad they are moving on though and that AI is gona start. Having your captin come off the bench doesnt seem right to me. He and lebron should start in the back court imo not sure if that will happen or if it will be him and marbury. Melo I have to say impressed me with his 16 point game against puerto rico. I guess there was a little added insentive since if he had not been on the USA team that would have been the team he played for do to his dad being puerto rican and him recieving an invitie to be on that team. Boozer also impressed me I see him getting alot more minutes later in the tourny. Though I dont like him as a person for what he did to the cavs he is a hell of a good rebounder and scorer. Hopefully no more suspensions will happen and everyone wil get on the same page.
Its wasnt a big deal IMO,Im glad every one is moving on and I cant wait to se AI play again becuase it has been a while, the last time was his last game versus Miami.
