Frustrated with the lack of progress in finalyse his contract with the MIN.TWOLVES,Troy Hudson SAid he's close to asking his agent,Bill Neff,to contact other NBA teams.
in my opinion ui think this will be abd move by the minnesota orginization if they let troy go. Becuase he recently had his breakout year with them. And then when they got their older cassel they have not been working with this guy. Nopw troy was injured last year which could be the reason why minnesota is weiry of giving him the contract he or they htink he deserves. I think troy should wait it out one more year and show the t wolves that he can go a whole year without being injured and show them he can consisitently play at the level of his breakout year and i think the wolves wouldnt have any problem signing troy again.
Honestly, I don't think the Rockets should take a look at Hudson. He is not a pure point guard, something that we need. I also don't have any impression of him being a good defender, and I doubt that he would win points over Charlie Ward as the one we sign to start at PG.
^^^ My sentiments exactly...Hudson would not be a perfect fit as our starting PG, altho he'd fit as a scorer off the bench, but not for the price he's likely to be asking for...
I agree,Daniels its a better fit, but im more concern at our back up center.Dampier is out of our reach. How about Keon k.?He is a good defender, atletic and we can affort him.I dont think the PG that we had shound interest are a big upgrade of Lue,so i whant the Rockets to concentrate more in getting a player like KK that can play C-PF. IF we get bouth players AD AND KK,the championship aspirations are not going to be an illusion.
Houston doesnt ned to go after Troy he is a shoot first pg and thats not what the Rockets are looking for. Also he is under sized and not the best defender, the Rockets need a Snow, someone who is going ot distribute the ball and play solid defense.
As much as I like Hudson as a player, he is not the answer for the Rockets PG issue.. He is a shoot-first PG, injury prone, and wants 6 years. The Rockets should focus on Antonio Daniels, and we gotta hope Damon Jones goes to Seattle. Daniels plays defense, passes first, not THAT injury prone, and he's our cheapest option. Hudson's injuries also make him inconsistent, and 6 years is WAAAAAAAAY to much for him. He doesnt fit our system, and unless he wants to change his game, I dont see him as the option for us. If Daniels doesnt come, than Hudson should be considered. He's wants more than he can give.
bad idea to sign Hudson... 5+ million a season for a backup PG? We're already paying our backup PF 9+ million.......
are ppl oredy counting out damon jones? antonio daniels is a gud pg, but damon is a lil younger, and has more potential. daniels wud fit perfectly, but i feel he is close to his peak oready, while damon will improve much more.
