Whoa, HUGE mistake for the Hawks. Why did they do this? Well, now they've just earned themselves a 10-win season. As far as the Mavs go, they are looking pretty strong now...all except for a center. If they pick up a center, I'd say they make it to the West finals.
To unload even more caproom I guess. If they don't get something done in at the most 2 seasons, Atlanta can probably say goodbye to the Hawks.
Who really cares what the Hawks do? They are the worst team in sports history and I mean out of all sports. I always felt kinda bad for this organization and still do, pretty soon they'll probably be migrating to another city.
well i dont think the hawks really did that bad witht his trade. In my eyes they free up more space for Dampier And I guess Bob sura will be our point now. With a couple of more aquisitions theis team that looks better on paper will look better on the floor. Bob sura ? harrrington or walker Harrington or walker Dampier ? this lineup does not include rooks and people that were already ont he team. Hey atl is int he east so i think they bulked up a bit. As fot he mavs they are looking sweeter and sweeter by the week. They have a bit of depth now. at the big man position. They only neeed a few more aquisitions and they could be well also.

They also drafted Royal Ivey if I'm not mistaken, so maybe if Sura isn't an option at PG, there's always Ivey. Played some of the PG position when he played with Texas.

I hope Royal Ivey can step into the role of taking heavy minutes for the hawks, but I doubt it Donta Smith can also play point despite being 6'7 and having a 7 foot wingspan. This is a good trade for the Hawks IMO, Antoine Walker is a good if not great player he was an allstar and he can probably do that again for the Hawks. Jason Terry can't run a team but I'd rather have him than Bob Sura at the point or a rookie stepping into the role right away. At the PG position I think the rookies are going to get most of the minutes they dont even have Jacque Vaughn anymore so yea, and Antoine is going to end up playing more center if they dont get Dampier or Swift.
Antoine Walker just sucks lol...nobody wants him... im jk of course, but I'm shocked the Hawks will be the ones getting him....atleast he'll be able to dominate the ball again...the Mavs STILL need frontcourt help, they shoulda atleast kept Jamison, who is a scoring post...now they're loaded in the backcourt with Terry, Stackhouse, Finley and Daniels...

Their frontcourt is basically just Dirk Nowitzki now, and their backcourt has two injury-prone SG's on the way out in Finley and Stackhouse, and two young PG's in Daniels and Harris. Rounded out with an undersized combo guard, their backcour isn't exactly the cream of the crop.

Walker just didnt fit in and now we filled our void at point guard and got a big man with an expiring contract out of it too. Now... about that big man.....
the hawks didnt give up too much as Jason Terry is not a real PG. He is a straight gunner. I dont like the idea of ATL having Harrington and Walker, two guys who dont know if they're SF's or PF's Mavs are screwed with Jason Terry. As I said, he is not a real PG who will be able to dish out assists. He is another straight shooter, and the Mavs sure dont need another player to shoot threes. There is gonna be a lot of treys thrown up in Big D this year
