2nd Prosecutor In Kobe Case??? Wow i was suprised to hear this i dont know whats going to happen now but heres the links and a quote from O'neal which didnt sound really nice lol. Speaking about Bryant's case last week on Z100 radio in Portland, O'Neal said his former teammate would need a jury of rappers -- "Ludacris, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg" -- to get off. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/maga...0809/index.html
Shaq is going to need five cases of Stacker2, anger management, and Richard-Simmons-in-a-box before he wins another ring.
That could really hurt Kobe..I might be worries a little more now if I were him..a chick in Florida, but I doubt Shaq knows much about the case at all..him and Kobe werent buddy buddy, I dont know why Kobe would tell Shaq anything...
if that florida girl testifies, it will play a HUGE role for the defense <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> John Wolfe, a Seattle lawyer who has represented a dozen pro athletes in sexual assault cases, says it leaves Bryant and his lawyers with a "Hobson's choice: If he doesn't testify, he loses the ability to tell the jury that it was consensual sex. If he does testify, he opens the door for another accuser to allege nonconsensual sexual activity." </div> thats pretty big rite there it depends on the jurors, whom i believe that some of them will be racist.... as for Shaq, i dont get why he is being called a witness.....was he even there when the alleged "groping" happened btwn bryant and the woman? I know it was his house and she ran inside his house and called her motherbut how does shaq fit in all this if he didnt really witness anything... i guess they will just call him to say "yes she was a worker at my house in orlando" or something as for the "rappers" comments thats cold kinda a low move i guess, i wish he would just keep his mouth shut like most of the other NBA players did but you know shaq, always has to say something to stir up a debate.....
In all honesty I dont get the Rapper quote but maybe Shaq has soo much hatred for Kobe that he wants him locked up so he doesnt get posterized..that is a very wild imagineation but what if its true?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe 8 Ball:</div><div class="quote_post">In all honesty I dont get the Rapper quote but maybe Shaq has soo much hatred for Kobe that he wants him locked up so he doesnt get posterized..that is a very wild imagineation but what if its true?</div> Because rappers always talk about b**ches and stuff in their songs. They wouldn't care about the girl and would automatically let Kobe off.
actually, i thought it was because black people would never turn their back on black people, "my blackness won't allow it" as dave chappelle said it best(was it the o.j. part or the r. kelly part?). some of the jury could judge kobe cuz of his color. 'how come they never found out who killed biggie and tupac...how come nicole simpson get killed, they go looking for o.j. simpson the next day. nicole simpson can't rap, i want justice'. your sounds right though lakersource, meaning kobe treats women with disrespect the same way luda dre and snoop do.
I dunno.. I don't like how the woman from Orlando came forward only after hearing about the Bryant case.. in my opinion she should have either notified the authorities soon after the incident happened or never at all. If she didn't tell anyone about what happened until she saw Kobe on TV, it obviously wasn't enough of an issue for her to want to press charges about; I think it's just a case of now that someone else is accusing Bryant of rape, she might as well tell people about getting groped- adding fuel to the fire.
Don't fear KB fans I read that the women contacted the Prosecution right after she saw KB's interview on July of 2003 so you wonder why is this news coming out now when they've know this for a year, very fishy. Great way to take the attention of the released transcripts. Also the prosecution said like two months ago that they will not go into Kb's past bad acts with women. Heres what I read and the source. I hope this calms some of you down it sure did me. ""Dan Recht, a Denver defense attorney, said prosecutors can't automatically use that kind of testimony. First, they have to notify the defense and then get a hearing before the judge, who would then make a decision about whether it would be admissable. "I'm surprised nobody has heard of such a thing or such a hearing if someone was going to do this," Recht said. "I don't even know if it would help the prosecution's claim if there was another unsubstantiated claim." Also, under Colorado rules of procedure, any information without proof, relating to past "bad acts," can't be used at trial, lawyers said. Eagle County District Attorney Mark Hurlbert has said he wouldn't use "past bad acts" at Bryant's trial. "The allegations by Sports Illustrated are classic 'prior bad acts,' " Recht said. "Hurlbert has said they're not using them. If they are, they're contradicting what he said." Prosecutors don't get to hold such a witness "in their pocket," then call her as a rebuttal witness, said Pozner, who also scoffed at the idea of O'Neal testifying at Bryant's trial. "There is about as much chance of Shaquille O'Neal being called in this as me being called to play for the Lakers," Pozner said."" Chances of Florida women testifying
