I think MLSE will take the hit for $3M, considering a lot of players who come for the game will get to see what really goes on in Toronto... for more than just a night's stay...

maybe shed away a few of the stereotypes, generate a little interest in playing for the raps...

who knows... but it's a nice thought.

Their are also 3 unidentified teams in the hunt to host the 2008 All-Star Weekend. A decision will be announced in February 2005.

I think this is very good for Toronto! Just having the prestige of hosting it makes it great! The 3Mill can be dealt with easily, but like the amount of revenue coming is like Cha-ching every 5 seconds that it is in Toronto!

I hope that is so, so I can make up for my pathetic filming and shooting of the charity game. Toronto has one of the best basketball cities in the NBA anyways so logically, they should of already got a NBA allstar game. Plus, basketball was invented by a Canadian, and Toronto is the only NBA team representing Canada so there's no way Stern and his crew are not going to bring the allstar game come to Toronto.
