That would be a good deal for the Lakers but then they would have two power forwards in Lamar Odom and Shareef, and one of them would end up complaining and would be out of L.A.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MavsJ33:</div><div class="quote_post">That would be a good deal for the Lakers but then they would have two power forwards in Lamar Odom and Shareef, and one of them would end up complaining and would be out of L.A.</div> Shareef could easily be moved to the small forward, and would obviously start over the garbage threes that the Lakers currently give minutes. The only problem occurs if Malone returns.
Yeah shareef wants to be traded. It has already been well documented around JBB and the entire nba. I think if the wolves match trenton hassel's offer sheet which it appears they will from a article posted a few days back. Then the trade that would make the most sence in my mind is. Shareef to philly for glenn robinson and contracts to even it out. Like probable buckner and those guys. I think they would look at robinson because they will be again in search of a swing man and since the nets have already traded kittles they can not try and work out a deal with them any more. I personally as a sixer fan would love to see that trade go down shareef is in his prime right now at the age of 27 and could do the run and gun style of offense JO wants to run. Though one thing I would be worried about is fitting him and kenny thomas at the power forward because the reason he wants to be traded is because he wants to start at that spot while the blazers dont want that. If we bring him to philly does that mean we have to bring thomas off the bench? Or move him to swing man since I hear he has been working on his shot. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting jurrasic:</div><div class="quote_post">Shareef could easily be moved to the small forward</div> He doesnt want to move positions that is why he requesteda trade from portland as soon as possible he feels he is in his prime and should start at power forward. Though the blazers want him to play small forward and not start at power.
It was reported that Minnesota is interested in a deal involving Wally Szczberiak...I'm not exactly sure who is gonna land Shareef tho...
The rumoured trade is something like this: Minnesota Acquires F Shareef Abdur-Rahim G Derek Anderson Portland Trail Blazers Acquire F Wally Szcerbiak C Michael Olowokandi
well alot of teams want him but wut i hrd only knicks nets t wovles r reley goin after him as of rite now it looks lik he goin to the wovles for wally and kandi i think its a bad trade for the wolves cuz u sendin 2 starters for 1 and plus sar is a decent player he is not worth wally and kandi
theyll get a good guard in Derek Anderson and nice athletic SF in Shareef Minnesota is really not givin up much IMO, Wally is good shooter, but cant do much else, and I'm sure they're willing to give up Olowokandi's overated self, because of his sorry performance last year
Olowakandi is still a big body in the middle, and Wally is a really nice shooter. But with that said, the timberwovles would have a very athletic and very nice roster if they make this trade. I would do it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MavsJ33:</div><div class="quote_post">That would be a good deal for the Lakers but then they would have two power forwards in Lamar Odom and Shareef, and one of them would end up complaining and would be out of L.A.</div> actually lamar odom would then play sf his normal position, and shareef would be the power forward, but i doubt the blazers would do this trade cuz they could get a bit more then fox, george, and cook. I think shareef should go to someone like the mavs, but honestly i have no clue where he's going to end up. but definetly shareef should get out of portland he just doesn't fit there and he's so talented.
I thought the rumoured trade was just Abdul-Rahim for Szczerbiak and Johnson or Olowokandi. Adding Derek Anderson would be good for Minnesota.

Reef would be a nice additon to the Laker roster
I think the lakers could deffienetly use Shareef theyll be great with odom, butler, and shareef, if the lakers are smart theyll trade for him, he is worth it!
Dumbass? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MavsJ33:</div><div class="quote_post">That would be a good deal for the Lakers but then they would have two power forwards in Lamar Odom and Shareef, and one of them would end up complaining and would be out of L.A.</div> What makes you believe that either one of them will complain and would want to leave the team. Odom is not the type of player that WANTS to play power forward. Hes more like a really tall point guard or small forward that can dribble the ball. If odom and rahim were on the same team, Rahim would no question play power forward and Odom would play the small forward since Rahim has a bigger body than odom. I dun even know why you would even think that they would have a problem coexisting with each other.
Reef to Minny makes more since,if they wouldnt have re sign Hassel, Wally would be starting but they re signed him so that means Wally is on the block and and a Wally-Reef trade seems likely.
