<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notic147:</div><div class="quote_post">Well we only have 1.5 million to spend. Loren Woods isn't such a bad signing. He showed he's got some game in the summer league, and even if he's a bust he and Moiso can take up some minutes for Aroujo, unless he turns out to be a bust too. THen the raps are really screwed. I don't get why Babcock didn't just draft Nelson. We wouldn't have to blow 5 million on skip and we'd have 6.5 to spend on a centre. And if we didn't sign mopete's hideous contract we'd have 11.5 to spend.</div> I hope woods has an amazing year with the Raps...but at present time, I would have rather see them sign Robert Traylor (tract'a' traylor) with that money... http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/traylor_040805.html
I thought you ppl said he will be signed on Thursday. It is now friday and there are no news of such signing. Wat gives?

This guy is known as a summer league King. He plays extremely well in all summer leagues but when it comes to the real league he can't keep up. He was actually the #1 rated centre in college at one point so there is potential.
^Never doubt the king BTW Woods' signing will be announced on Tuesday but it is a non-guranteed contract. So come training camp he will have to work hard to make the roster.

The guy always had potential for his first 3 seasons but he was always a bust at the same time. His career averages at 2 and 2 so that proves he is a bust. Why would the Heat release him when they have Shaq who can improve Woods' game? It's beacuse they don't care about Woods since he's a bust. At best, he's just a 5 minute, serviceable role player but that's not even going to help the Raptors. Archibald and Corie "Smoka" Blount are going to get all the minutes that Woods deserves. There was no point in signing Loren W00ds.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">Archibald and Corie "Smoka" Blount are going to get all the minutes that Woods deserves. And what do you mean there "was" no point in signing Loren Woods? We didn't sign him yet and I don't think we will.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">Who cares about his college and summer league success. He was unprotected and exposed to the Bobcats in the Expansion draft. At that time Shaq was not on the team and Loren Woods was not close to being considered a top 8 on the team. Do you consider Jermaine O'Neal a bust? He did not do much better than Woods throughout his first 3 years, and his 4th year was not that good either. Even though he did not goto college and experience as Woods, the case is basically the same for their first few years in the NBA. He got the same and more playing time than Woods through out his first few seasons, and his stats stayed basically the same at around 4.1, 4.5, 2.5(MPG Dropped that year) and 3.9. Look where JO is at now, he's one of the best players in the NBA. I'm not saying he's going to be the next JO, but don't count Loren Woods out yet. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">Archibald and Corie "Smoka" Blount are going to get all the minutes that Woods deserves. I agree that Woods has been a bust up to this point, but to be fair, he has not received consistent playing time...he still has immense potential as a rebounder and shot-blockers but he still needs to improve his offensive game and get stronger...
I just hope the guy hustles. I don't care if he's talented or not, as long as he plays with energy and passion.
do you guys think he will actually help the raptors or he will become just another jerome moiso? and this might be off the topic but do any of you know how long moiso and palacio's contract will run?
