Well he had breakout year last season, but it wouldn?t be possible if it wasn?t for Derrick Coleman. So we got to give thanks to Derrick Coleman for getting injured, which ultimately opened some room to give Dalembert some playing time.

Samuel Dalembert is going to be the core of our defense next season. He?s listed as 6?11? but has a wing span of probably a 7 foot 3 player. He?s long and lean and very athletic, he could run up and down the floor quite possibly faster than any other center in this league. Dalembert also has a very solid defensive game, which is a lost art among the Centers in today?s game. If the NBA kept statistics for goal tending he would lead the league in that category. Even though he?s blocking shots left and right the goaltending calls shows how quick and versatile he really is. With a non-shot blocking PF in Kenny Thomas, Dalembert is doing all the swatting, so maybe Kenny Thomas can take some load of him next season and try being a little more aggressive in the paint.

A major flaw to Dalembert is his mind. He has yet to develop a basketball player mentality. Yes, he plays basketball but doesn?t quite understand the game to the extent where he could REALLY be a force, and wouldn?t have to worry in another 5 years or so when he would supposedly reach his prime. He needs to be more aware of the game and what?s going on. Dalembert gives it?s his all when he?s on the court, but all he has to do is just get more involved in the game and the rest should take care of it?s self.

Stat Line

PPG- 8.7
RPG- 9.6
APG- 1.2
BPG- 3.1
FG%- 46%
FT- 70%

I believe he may play about 75 games or so this season, but start in only about 60 games or so. I have a feeling that his back spasms might get to him, and they may start Marc Jackson over till Dalembert is 100%.

Dalembert has huge potential and he should be the Sixers starting C easily,he has proved he can play a full and very consistant season,he had a ton of goal tendings and if he could improve his timing he could average a lot more BPG.

He is very quick and athletic and I think if he developed some low post moves he would be a lot more useful,I think he should have a great season and he better get his minutes.

Stats
13.5 PPG
9.8 RPG
2.6 APG
3.2 BPG
47%FG
70%FT.

Also next season I think Dalembert is a free agent,i say we re sign him to about MLE and then when he really blows up offer him an extension.

He had a break out year last year and will be much improved this year I dont think he will average as many points as everyone is saying though because he is not the greatest offensive player yet. I think he is more a mutombo type player at this point.

Anyway I think he wont average that many points, but will get boards and blocks. I think that willi green will be the most improved player this year not dalembert just because of the offensive numbers anyway here are my predictions.

PPG- 10.5
RPG- 8.9
APG- 1.8
BPG- 1.57
MPG- 29-30

I really like this guy. He was a pick-up for me last year in the beginning of the fantasy leagues. He has alot of potential to be a very reliable center. I dont know if he'll be all-star quality, but he is definately a solid center that puts up consistent numbers

12 and even 13 PPG? That's a little too much IMO. We?re supposedly going to have Allen Iverson, Glenn Robinson, and Kenny Thomas and maybe even Willie Green averaging in double figures. Also don?t forget that we have not one, but two former Sixth Man coming off our bench, who will probably want their fair amount of shots. And not to mention we also have Rookie who some of us are predicted that will average about 11 PPG.

So all together we would have about 7+ players averaging in double figures which ridiculous. The Dallas Mavericks don't even do that. Unless, if we?re averaging about 110 PPG as a team or we have nobody averaging over 20 PPG, it doesn?t make much sense to have all these players averaging such high PPG.
