I'm suprised someone hasn't start a thread about this yet. There are so many cool mascots in collegiate sports and I have many favorites. The mascots in college sports are so much better than the pro's because most of them have an actual meaning and are very traditional. My favorite who definitely have to be the St. Joe's Hawk because he flaps his wings throughout the whole game and the meaning to this is because the school's saying which is "The Hawk Never Dies". Pretty cool, I think.
Mine is of course the Tar Heel baby, the Ram running around court screaming and holleriong its electricity. Second would probably be the Stanford mascot that weird lookin tree, it's creepy and cool at the same time, and that's not easy to do.

If I'm not mistakened the Tarheel Ram does scream. Just messin.
When I was 5 or 6 years old I used to like teams just based on their mascots. My two favorite teams at the time were the Florida Gators and the Toronto Raptors, lol. I've seen a lot of mascots live since then, and it really does take a certain level of talent to do the jobs that some of them do. I don't like your average mascot that just goes out there and holds up signs and does funny little skits. I expect a little more these days, like the St.Joe's Hawk flapping it's wings or the WKU mascot always sliding on the floor. I don't have one favorite mascot, but I usually admire any mascot that's unique and works hard.
Also i know this isnt college sports but the best mascot ever has to be the philly phanatic that guy is so funny i went to a minor leauge phillies game and he was there. He is so funny compared to all the mascots i have ever seen
Theyre not really mascots but I love the Sausage race at Miller Park even though Bernie is the actual mascot.
