Isiah has said he won't trade Marbury, but if he did, the Knicks would field a threesome of Crawford at PG, Carter at SG and Tim Thomas at SF, with Allan Houston the sixth man.</div>

Isiah says he wouldn't be willing to trade Marbury, however this is the NBA and anything could happen. A backcourt of Jamal Crawford and Vince Carter would provide the Knicks with a lot of size and athleticism.

There's doubt if Eschmeyer will play again.</div>

I don't think there's any way they're going to make Houston; someone they're paying 17.5 million, a sixth man.

i dont think its worth trading Marbury for Carter...I think Marbury's better and is more of a "franchise player" than Carter, plus Marbury will sell more tickets, being from the NY area and all...

Typical New York deal, taking on HUGE contract (Eschmeyer). Damn, well we may emerge as a contender.....yeah right [IMG].

***Either ay, this VC-Starbury trade won't happen. Give me a break.

Marbury wont be traded. He has the home town behind him even though the knicks would love to get carter if isiah traded him he would be run out of town by a huge brooklyn mob. Who would be so upset that marbury was traded.

Then not to mention that even though vince carter is one of my favorite players I will be the first to admit he is not nearly thew leader marbury is. Also marbury is never had any serious injury while his has had a couple. Marbury is one of two players in the nba history to average 20 and 8 assists for his career along with oscar robertson he is probable one of the best point guards in the league top 3 imo.

I dont think this will happen, Marbury has the whole city of NY behind him and the fans would hate to see this happen. I also dont hink Vince is worth Marbury because of his injury plagued seasons..

I doubt that Thomas would trade Steph for VC, there would be way to much backlash in the NYC, especially if Vince goes down due to injury, with his history of injury, he would likely get the Allan Houston or Mcdyess treatment from the fans & media.

Add on to the fact that Jamal Crawford isnt effiecent enuff to run a team as an every day starting point guard or at least a team that expects to win alot of games. Jamal Crawford will be in the best role suited for his game, filling in as a combo guard playing both a little pg and a little sg. Knick fans have been screaming for a PG since Derek Harper left(excluding the few years Action Jackson returned for his short 2 year stent in the early 2000's) so now that they finally got one, a native New York son at that sades of MarK Jackson in the early late 80's-90's, I dont see them giving him up so easily. Steph will more then likely retire as a knick.

Vince Carter is not going to be traded unless its for a player that can play the same posistion as him (Ray Allen), but its not happening...so you can forget about all the big deals involving Vince Carter.

does the NY post even have any credibility? This article doesn't even say it might happen. It's the writier expressing what he feels could possibly happen. it holds less credibility than the "unnamed sources"(but makes alot more sense).

He even says Marbury won't be traded. Marbury the untouchable player for the NY Knicks. he brigns fans in, is a hometown hero and is an all star, and olympic player. Th eonly way he will be traded isi f NY can get two players back. Sorry, two STAR players.

Marbury will never be traded for Carter. The Raps will have just blown 5 million on Skip for nothing if they got Marbury. Apparently, Tim Thomas is untouchable to Isaiah, so who else are the Raps gonna get for Carter? Babcock's not that stupid. You can forget about getting Carter.
