That deal would have saved the Bulls another $10 million over the next three seasons, and Thomas would have gotten both Crawford and Curry, who are close friends. The source said Thomas thinks the pair would be happier and more productive under his management. </div> Link That part of the article caught my eye so what would you guys think of it if they swung this deal through? I would like it, Chicago would be getting Sweetney who's a bit undersized but has much more of an upside than Curry who doesnt work a bit and is unbelievably heavy for a guy his age, and Othella is a veteran who could be a great back up. Eddie Robinson isnt doing anything in Chicago so why keep 'em?
yikes! ny would have a great team, sweetney is good, but the bulls should give curry at least one or two more years....thomas would become a legend in ny oh wait he already is, but still if he pulled getting curry and crawford off, knicks would be a great team..
bad trade for Chicago if they do it...Sweetney is undersized, and Robinson has more value than Harrington...they can get a lot more for Curry...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Tripl3:</div><div class="quote_post">bad trade for Chicago if they do it...Sweetney is undersized, and Robinson has more value than Harrington...they can get a lot more for Curry...</div> Sweetney will have a better career than all the other player's included in this deal. Sweetney is going to be an Elton Brand-caliber player in a couple of seasons. His offensive rebouds are outstadning. He has to develop a consisitent baby jump-shot, though.

If Curry never gets his ass in shape, then barring anything strange, Sweetney will have the best career.
Again if the bulls made that trade they would get the short end of the stick talent wise it would only be for cap room purposes if that trade was made do to the size of robinsons contract. The bulls were hoping that the cats would take him in the expansion draft when they didnt the bulls were stuck with him another year. Curry is although out of shape a very talented player he could be the next shaq a fat dude that over powers everyone he averaged 15 points last season so I wouldnt trade him yet and paxson said already he wouldnt. I hope this trade doesnt go down sweetny in my mind is no comensation for curry.
