Not a bad trade for the Sixers,we got rid of DC and Mcaskial in one deal, whats wrong with Joe Dumars though I dont know what he sees in the those two players oh well,us Sixers fan should send him a Thank You card. This was really a steal for us we got rid of two bums for a decent player,he can produce some off the bench for us and gives us a lot more expierence. I dont know why the Pistons traded him maybe his contract is to big,I hope thats not the case because Billy King should have learned his lesson of taking in older players with fat contracts.
Corliss's contract is way too big and he isn't the player he used to be. Makes the most stupidest passes and turnovers that can drive you crazy.
didn't larry brown always like coleman? williamson has 2 years remaining, but it's a good deal for us. coleman had to go.
This is a great trade for the sixers imo. It adds further depth to the front court as well as giving us two former sixth men of the years coming off of our bench in mckie and williamson. I really like williamson and think he is a great pick up considering we were gona waive coleman for nothing. I think the only reason williamson wasnt as affective this year in detroit was do to the development of prince his minutes were less and so were his shots. This guy is a good rebounder something the team really needs and he is not injury prone like coleman and to get him for two guys that in no way were ever gona return to the team is like signing this guy as a free agent not having to give up anything IDK about everyone else, but I am really happy with this move. I hope he can play the power forward though because we have to much depth at the small forward for him to get many minutes. If he can play the 4 philly will probably not continue consideration on tring to make a trade for shareef.
I'll tell ya what Corliss fits Philly like a glove. He brings toughness to the table and that's what we need. I really would have took anything for Coleman, I'm really happy w/ this move.
Very nice trade in my opinion, and whenever you acquire a former sixth man, it's a good deal. I am also very glad to get rid of Derrick and Amal, both of them showed no promise last year, and to be worry free of buying out Derrick's contract is also a big plus. I just do not see what Detroit had in this trade, to get rid of some money space, sure, but both of these guys are not going to do anything in their careers anymore. I'm fine with Derrick being a favorite of Larry's but to lose a former sixth man for two scrub players, is retarted. I see this as our last trade, we hesitated to do anything after the Snow trade because we weren't in the best position in any of the top player scenarios floating around the NBA, for instance Antoine Walker.
well at first i was very skeptical about this trade. for the pistons they are stacked down low with Mcdeyse coleman Beig ben anddo they still have their center that played so well against shaq. For the sixers i understand they need a new sf because of the big dawgs former performance. which i thought would have gotten him shipped out of the sixers orginization. But i kinda like the move the more i think about it it gives the sixers agodd backup for Kenny thomas or Glenn ( maybe even a starter in glenns place.) And also i believe corliss can take some of the pressure and focus for scoring form glenn and maybe help glenn to be more relaxed and letthat smooth jumper go.
I love this trade! Williamson goes well into Philly's System...Getting Rid of DC is a big plus...Good job billy King

And by that I mean, he tries to do too much with the ball. At times, he would try to handle and pass the ball like he?s Jason Kidd. But nonetheless, this is a very good pick up for us. However, it?s going to be hassle to determine how these minutes are going to get split. Bench PG- John Salmons SG- Aaron Mckie SF- Kyle Korver/Andre Iguodala/Corliss Williamson PF- Brian Skinner C- Marc Jackson As you can see there is a dilemma in the SF slot. I don?t if would be wise if we move Williamson to the PF slot. But with Andre Iguodala being the versatile player he is, he could also play the PG and SG. Well, I?m very happy with this trade and like Pure Skillz indicated, with this move we get some more depth in our bench which was needed. And with this acquisition, I think our bench roster is completed. We don?t need anything more from our bench. BTW I highly doubt there are going to be any more moves. This was our final move.
Wow I didnt expect Joe Dumars to tinker too much with that roster he has there. A truly great deal for us IMO. The best thing is we got rid of DC for something rather than him just leaving.. A former sixth man will do us good here in Philly. Now our bench has a lot of depth. We are definetly more than capable of winning the Atlantic Division now. Ya as otheres said I am sure this is the last trade but you just never know wwhat Billy King has up his sleeve. This trade came to a big surprise to me.
:dancepart Great trade for the sixers if you ask me. Coleman is garbage and McCaskill showed no real potential, and Williamson is a role player who will give you solid minutes and solid numbers. Like others said, I never saw this coming. Good job sixers, way to make something out of nothing.
wow a interesting trade....i guess dc shud be happy too....being able to play for his hometown team. but im so suprised that the pistons did this trade. but y wud they trade him for another lazy big man like dc?wudnt they need back up guards?
