Massenburg played for the Sacramento Kings last year, averaging 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 59 games. He was selected by San Antonio in the second round of the 1990 NBA draft and played 36 games for the Spurs before being released in December 1991. The 6-foot-9 power forward played for a dozen NBA teams in as many years, averaging 6.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. Marks signed with San Antonio last September, but he spent the 2003-04 season on the injured list because of tendinitis in his left knee.</div> <div align="center">Link</div>
massenburg is a solid pickup, i can't believe the kings let him go especially with their lack of depth at the forward spots.
Nice pick-up , I guess...so there wont be no mailman in SA. And speaking of Tony's , do the Spurs even have enough money anymore to give Parker an extension this yr?Cause I have a feeling a whole lot of teams will be after him next yr , and theres a big chance of losing him.The Spurs should sign him long-term and prevent all that trouble...

The Spurs can match any offer next year.
massenburg is alright, he'll rebound and defend and has a nice little jump shot...he gives the Spurs nice depth...
i dont like the move why are we going to Sign Massenberg why not resign Willis at least he is 7" the Spurs only have TD and Rasho as there only true big men they need more power
Man, these moves make it clear that Malik Rose is going to rot on the bench again. It's such a waste to see a guy with so much potential who was an integral part of the Spurs' championship run in 2003.
I hope Sean Marks gets some minutes this season, he can play in the league. Watch him in the Olympics playing for New Zealand, he should have a good tournament. The Spurs have a logjam at PF now, and they might be forced to make a trade during or before the season. They should try to free up some minutes for Malik Rose, but after the amount of minutes he got last season I don't think they'll try.
I guess this puts the Spurs out of the Chase for the mail man. This isn't that great of a move. They now have Malik Rose someone with talent just waiting to be unleashed be a bench warmer. Tony MAssenburg is nothing great and Sean Marks is a decent player.

Pop has said he is pleased with the way Malik has been going over the offseason and it appears he will be given a chance to prove himself again. If he struggles, then we may see the other guys used more.

Marks has not been signed for nothing and will get a chance to prove himself. Even if Rose gets back in Pop's good books again, he won't average more than 18 minutes per game.
Marks has averaged 2 games per season in his career, don't expect hardly any minutes from him. If Rose continues to work hard through the off-season he should have no problem getting minutes I doubt Horry will play much this year, he looks pretty much done to me. I expect Rose to get most of the minutes at back-up PF.

He may surprise me but I highly doubt it.

I'm still convinced that Rose will get the primary back-up minutes.
