<strike>Chris Mihm We need a scorer at the center spot so what if we were to take on Chris Mihm? He's 7 feet tall 265 pounds and he's athletic for his size and he's a good rebounder, decent shotblocker, and good dunker. He'd probably get a block or two a game based on his stats. He's been kind of a bust so far but he's gotten more aggressive and he'll be in his 5th year in the league (big men take a lot time to develop anyway). His free throw shooting is probably worse than Foyle's though. He could be effective if given 24-30 minutes a game.</strike> Jon Barry Okay we don't need another guard but we need good shooters that can provide a spark off the bench. Right now we need someone to replace the Custodian's sweet shooting stroke. Barry will give us that ability and provide a spark off the bench. He knows his role, he is an energetic player, he can steal the ball, and he shoots 37% from beyond the arc. Plus he's a good passer for when Pietrus is cutting toward the hoop. He has a high basketball IQ and will probably fit within Montgomery's style of set plays on offense. Tremaine Fowlkes He's a small forward that will fight for every ball. He's great on defense and can shoot from the outside if needed. He is more of a close-in player though. Dion Glover If we need a bench contributor that can score we could use Dion Glover. He'd be an undersized guard trying to play forward like Desmond Mason but Dion weighs close to 230 pounds. He's got good athleticism, has an improved outside shot, and can drive the lane. He's not so great on defense though, but has a lot of talent off the bench. His best stats came from playing against us so knowing the Warriors they might just pick him up. <strike>Damon Jones It's too bad we picked up fisher because I would have gone with a 6'3 guard who can provide the same lockeroom leadership and provide matchup problems on the court at the same time. If we're going to go with a combo guard we might as well have one with some playmaking skills. Ranks #2 in assists per turnover (4.64), #12 in assists overall (478) and #14 in assists per game (5.8) in the league. He did a really good job filling in when TJ Ford went down.</strike> Toni Kukoc A player like Dunleavy, but can play all 5 spots on the court. He has a high basketball IQ and he's an excellent shooter and passer. He's got great fundamentals and size at 6'11. He's the Croatian Sensation. Lee Nailon Would be a 6'9 235 lb scorer at the 3 spot. Doesn't play much defense but has the power forward size in the small forward position. He'd be a good guy to to increase point production coming off the bench. Above average free throw shooter and good midrange shooter. <strike>Wesley Person In case we need another shooter, this guy would be great to have at the 2 guard spot. He plays within himself and is an excellent outside shooter.</strike> Joel Pryzbilla Foul prone and injury prone, but extremley tough and big at 7'1. Is great at shotblocking and rebounding. Not afraid of contact. Doesn't have an offensive game, but could really defend the paint if he learns not to pick up cheap fouls. His free throw shooting will make you laugh. He shoots a career .454% Bryon Russell He's a good outside shooter and defensive player. But age and size (6'7") may make him lose a step or two at the one of the positions where we need a mix of size and athleticism as well. Jabari Smith Doesn't have much stats to show but he's a physically gifted player who is strong and athletic at the center spot. He's got good mobility and a nice touch. Would be great to pick up for the minimum if nobody else picks him up. Steve Smith The guy's kinda old, but hey 6'8". Good shooting stroke. Former allstar player, great shot, and can handle the rock. I don't know how badly he has declined, but he could be a decent veteran pickup. Rodney White 6'9 small forward that can score. Doesn't play much defense. But he's a good athlete. Eric Williams Terrific locker room leader. Plays great defense and is aggressive. Linton Johnson 6'8. Aggressive defender. Don't know much about the rest of his game but he can guard bigger forwards and is very athletic. Darius Miles Has playmaking skills. is 6'9 and can play 4 positions. Is a great ballhandler and passer. His midrange jump shot is coming along. Is a great shotblocker and defender. Terrific athlete, is really long, and is an excellent leaper that can really dunk. Deshawn Stevenson Would be a scoring role player that can get to the rim and shoot from the perimeter. Doesn't play much defense. It would force Pietrus to play guard. Jake Tsakalidas. Raw. Is kind of dumb, but really big at 7'2". He could clog the paint on defense. I think he was in Hubie Brown's doghouse for a lot of the time preferring to put Lorenzen Wright, Pau Gasol, or Stromile Swift at center. I think we should pass on the guy.
I haven't been up on all the rumors, but I do know Rodney White prefers to sign with either New York or Sacramento. Getting to NY is probably dependent on the million other rumored deals going around there for Crawford/Damp/etc. Miles is probably out of our price range because he's reportedly looking for at least $5 million a year, but his stint with Portland was pretty solid.

Doh! D Miles with Dunleavy, Pietrus, Murphy, and Foyle would be quite interesting, especially since you now have two good playmakers in D Miles and Dunleavy and three great defenders in D Miles, Pietrus, and Foyle. And you'd also have tons of versatility and mismatches if you make him or Dunleavy point guard.
Man it's all about potential these days. Cisse is still an athletic freak despite rehabbing from his injury. Plus he's got that winning attitude that Mullin seems to love. I'd like to think that Cisse is a mini-adonal foyle that can be used in some kind of running game where you need someone to deny a fastbreak bucket by swatting him from behind. The guy got something like 17 blocks in one game and dominated bigger competition like Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler during the High School allstar games. Get this: he even jumped over a shooter that was at least 6 feet tall when he got pumped faked into mid air. The guy's a freak. Will he be effective in the NBA? Who knows.
If we can't get an SF I hope we stick with Cheaney. He's the most coachable guy on the free agent market and his midrange shot is money. Kind of one dimensional, but he'll produce if he isn't trying to be the sixth man like he was a lot of times. The guy's got no other offensive moves other than pump fake a 3, dribble in, and shoot from 15' along the baseline.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/writ...ns/07/27/cisse/ Sorry Custodian, looks like we didn't invite Cisse to camp. Higgie says 'he needs coaching'. Maybe after a year of the NBDL.
I don't think there's anyone out there that's a good fit for the Warriors who's also affordable. I'd like to see them sign a guy like Cheaney or McCleod to a one year veteran's minimum contract. I'm looking for a veteran who can shoot from the outside, is a good locker room guy, and doesn't mind only playing around 10 minutes a night.

Okay for small forward how about Damone Brown (for those that remembered him from Syracuse) Pros: Good shot, good athlete, good size at 6'8" Cons: Physically Weak, doesn't stand out in any other facet of the game except for bench scoring Joaquin Hawkins (from the rockets and our training camp last year) Pros: Could be a defensive stopper, good athlete, positive attitude, was a harlem globe trotter Conss: Inconsistent shot, limited range, age Donny Marshall Pros: lockeroom leader, good shot, a real good team player Cons: doesn't stand out in any particular way George Mcloud Pros: Is a veteran NBA player, great shooter, plays all 4 positions except center, can nail amost every clean look open shot, good size at 6'8" Cons: old (could be injury prone because of age), lacks athleticism, average rebounder, can't create his own offense, despite having above average ballhandling. Terrence Morris: Pros: good size at 6'9", explosive around the rim, good rebounder, good defender, can block shots Cons: Doesn't play aggressive, lacks consistency, shot is streaky George Williams: Pros: Great potential, Can play both forward spots, good size at 6'8" for small forward Cons: Nees a lot of polishing. Walt Williams: Pros: Cool nickname "The Wizard", good accuracy from beyond the arc, athletic Cons: Old. Shoots too many 3's. Not as athletic as he used to be due to age. Darius Rice: Pros: Has great potential with that athleticism at that size (6'10") and 25' shooting range. Has game similar to Rashard Lewis in some ways. Nephew of future hall of famer 49er/Raider wide receiver Jerry Rice. Cons: Just like Herve Laminza, great athlete, really long at 6'10" for the small forward position, but is streaky, isn't very motivated, and doesn't give much effort on defense even though he is capable of being a good defender. Damien Wilkins Pros: Can play all 3 backcourt positions. Plays strong and physical. Can handle the rock and penetrate. Good Passer, Can finish around the rim. Good footwork on defense and an on offense. Good midrange jumper. Plays within himself Cons: Doesn't have a lot of nba caliber talent, is not quick, lacks size at sf at 6'6" Bryant Matthews Pros: Tremendous athlete, great lateral quickness, tough, great rebounder, good defender, is aggressive, can get a lot of steals with those long arms Cons: weak, poor free throw shooter, poor shot selection, sometimes foul prone, poor ballhandler, streaky from midrange. Has no 3 point range(?).
