I've been contemplating (big word) about this matter, and seeing as he's not 100% and never will be. And seems to not be playing his best basketball or trying his utmost hardest... Do you guys think he'll step up and raise his game to another level now that Shaqs here and they have a shot at winning a championship. He was real intense and good when in LA, without injuries of course. But I really hope to see the EJ of old come out... if that happened, we'd have a championship pretty easily...
I highly doubt well see the old Eddie Jones come out. Players lose their youth. He isnt as young as he used to be. Hes still a great player who can give you 15 points a night. He will do nicely. Not good enough to win a championship though .

He also won't be feeling the pressure with shaq and wade, he's just gonna be a good role player scoring 3pters and averaging about 17ppg which is what the heat need him to do.
Oh yeah, he is going to be an important part of our championship jigsaw puzzle. He'll be getting a lot more oopen looks now with Shaq on the blocks. He should just shoot 3000 3 pointers a day in the offseason just standing still, cause that's what he's gonna be getting alot of the time.
Just a thought...does anyone else think that Eddie Jones remembers how he was treated by Shaq in Los Angeles? I don't think Jones has forgotten how he was thrown to the curb in the first place. Shaq said some pretty harsh things in his book about Jones...how he was selfish, timid, and he chokes in the clutch. He also said that Jones never wanted the ball in important situations and was very disappointed when Kobe became the Lakers' new perimeter man. Will this tension be re-born? What if Shaq does try and take over this team? To me, this is something Jones and Shaq need to keep in mind, or they won't ever be close to a title.

Jones said he's looking forward to playing with shaq again and shaq told jones that he's comming down to miami to take care of business. Here's an article if you want to read.
I think EJ will be his same old self 17.3 PPG like last year or maybe better now that Shaq will be able to kick it out at any moment to him He will be a part of our scoring cuz Shaq and wade can maybe only do 55 PPG so we will need quite a bit more. and if he plays like last year 3 of our starting 5 players will have a combines 70 PPG the rest of the points go to Haslem, Allen, Doleac, and Rasual. And dont be suprised to see Jerome Beasley come outta nowhere.

But I agree with what Shaq had to say about EJ tho. I don't think there will be a problem between them 2 cuz now they're not young any more and EJ seriously don't want another trade.
Ya I think Shaq and Eddie are more mature now. Eddie will also get a lot more open looks. Shaq, Wade, and Eddie could be a new big 3. I believe Shaq will play better with Wade then he did with Kobe as Kobe is selfish and forces shots up and that cost them the finals. Shaq, Wade, and Eddie probably will score between 65-70 PPG combined. Noone will stop Shaq so theyll double maybe triple team him and Shaq passes out to an open Eddie or Wade and boom it goes in.
I wish the former Lakers the best of Luck. I always cheer for former Lakers, unless of course, they are playin the LAKERS.

I think EJ will ne a nice complement...hes basically a 3-point/defensive specialist right now and that will fit in great now that they have Shaq...

I expect Eddie Jones to have a great season. He wont be as good as when he was in his prime with the Lakers but he will do well with Wade and Shaq.
Hopefully he can consistantly knock down the open 3 point oppurtunities he'll be getting with Shaq clogging up the paint and geting double-triple teamed... And I hope to see Wade's jumpshot improved with Bob Mcadoo working with him.
