Looks like the deal has gone through according to what we hear on Jamal's decisions. We should know today from a respectable Bull and not the media.

Now, what was Paxson thinking? Since the Bulls have some of the highest attendance records in the NBA, I am quite positive that they have enough loot for Jamal and a few others. Will Dikembe put out the points like Jamal did? No. Will Othella Fishington be as fun to watch as Jerome? No. And the rivalries between the two teams in the 90's certainly don't make this situation peachy. The next season brings us many uncertanties that were eventually instigated by the GM. Change, change, and change. How much more do we need? Bring the Pistons here? This all seems to me like greed and bad blood by both the GM and the players' managers.

Anyways, good luck for the Bulls and their rookies in 04-05.

Bulls manangement wanted to get rid of Jamal and they wanted to get short term contracts back in return. That is the reason why they got some New York scrubs. Everyone they got is likel going into the last year of their contract and that's the big reason why Chicago took them. They want cap space for next offseason and they didn't want Jamal anymore. Therefore, it was logical to get rid of him. They may not have got much back for this season, but, when the offseason comes next year, they're going to likely be in the market to make a run at a big free agent with all the extra cap space they get by trading Jamal.

I think the jamal lose will be a healthy because now it will boast the playing time for hinrick and gordan. I hate losing jerome though as he is a very energitc player andf I really like his attitude gona miss seeing him in chicago. Though I think he will do well in new york. This was mostly for cap room purposes as the bulls dont need mutombo or harrington with the depth they got with chandler, curry, and davis.

If Jamal was going to play for Chicago it was going to be for a 1 year or 2 year contract, because Gordon will be ready to start, if he isn't already. Paxson did a good job by getting something out of nothing. It was obvious he wasn't going to retain Crawford, but he made people think that he was, so he can create a sign and trade so he can dumb contracts that weren't wanted (Jerome Williams, Eddie Robinson).

paxson never intended on resigning crawford and everyone knew that. i hate this trade who cares about the last year of some of these guys contracts, i liked jamal he was my favorite player on the team, now i guess it's othella harrington, no probably tyson chandler, but crawford was fun to watch and entertaining. i mean sure he took some bad shots, but he could have worked on that. well i hope crawford becomes an all-star with the knicks and this revives the knicks-bulls rivalry. why paxson? why??

I hope crawford drops 50 against the bulls, just to show paxson what he gave up..

I think it was a good move he wasn't coming back
next year and PAX got something in return
dikembe is going to be backup C and harrington
might start for a few games.I would have like to trade EROB just
because of his bad contract i dont like the trade but
its better than getting Shannan Anderson and a bag of chips.

Paxton made a right move by trading Crawford...Bulls free up $10 million for 2006. 2006 free agents are Shaq, Ben Wallace, Michael Redd, Matt Harpring, Keith Van Horn, Devean George, Cuttino Mobley, Tim Thomas, and James Posey. Plus Yao Ming and Amare Stoudemire could be restricted free agents in 2006. Paxton know's what he is doing.

There is at least one person on that list that the Bulls won't be getting and that's Shaq. I think the Heat will likely resign him. That and he's far too expensive for them. Yao and Amare will also likely be resigned to some nice long contract for their respective teams, so they're likely outta the question.

YES! HE'S GONE! Jamal took too many of the bulls shots. I was surprised eddy curry averaged what he did. It was a good trade in my eyes, Deke will help Curry JUMP for rebounds and block shots better (if curry is in shape by the start of season) Frank williams is a good player, he just never had the chance to play. Othello Harrington....ummm no comment. Cezary Trybanski..see othello harrington
