I swear I am going to scream if I hear again how Vick can't throw! He takes what the defense give him. McNabb is the one who is going to have problems throwing those puff balls in that weather. The Falcons D is pretty hot right not too, don't ya think? Of course, I forgot that we played flag football teams all season. My bad. This is gettin' good, huh? It will be a great game! I'll give the Eagles their props (and even pull for them in the SB) if they win. Just remeber, NO EXCUSES this time if you guys lose...again.
I've said this before, if I was the Eagles I would use Lito Sheppard as a spy and not kearse. I would go out of my way to make sure that Vick had to stay in the pocket, and let him beat me by throwing the ball. We can single cover Price, Finneran, Jenkins and Crumpler and see what Vick can do. Put consistant pressure on him, and he will fold like an accordion.
ok fine no excuses, ill give you Brooks as being better than kearse, but not urlacher or peppers. peppers is great, but kearse is a better athlete, hes faster and just as strong. id take pepers anyday, kearse is better. not to mention kearse has stopped cullpeper twice, mcnabb is a better passer than vick, without a doubt just look at the numbers

Kearse is faster than Peppers? I don't know - Peppers is a BEAST of an athlete! They better put someone other than Kearse in there to spy on Vick (which I think is a mistake and plays right into Atlanta's hand). Half these people who say Vick cant throw dont even watch him play, and if they do its not often. They just look at stats without seeing the game or how things happened. Rush first, pass later. Thats how Atlanta is so if the Defense of the other team is giving them the advantage to run away with the game, why not do it? Fact is, all those pocket passers with the great QB ratings and those 3,000+ yards passing, are all watching Vick play this weekend instead of being there. Gotta love that.
Since theres going to be a blizzard i doubt tht vick will have to throw mor than 10 passes. Also McNabb wont be able to throw because of a blizzard. Peppers is better when you look at the stats, and a lot of people here are ALL about stats. So looks like hes got a good point. Peppers is better than Kearse. You Eagles fans just cant handle some other player or team having some advantage over your team and players.
Your ideal candidate to spy a QB is almost always going to be a linebacker. Why you would choose to slow up your pass rush in order to spy a QB is beyond me. Flush the QB out with pass rush and let the "Mike" spy. Kearse is only on one side of the field. As fast as he is, he isn't as fast as Vick to chase him across the field. Not that a linebacker would be, but he would have a much better angle. As for you Eagles fans, you shouldn't cave so quickly on the no excuses thing. If the Eagles lose this game, and I was an Eagles fan, I would spend the whole off season thinking....what if TO was healthy.
peppers had a good rookie year, ok soph year, and great SECOND half 3rd year, kease has been great his whole career being healthy, this year he was tripple teamed at times, how many times have u seen him hit the QB as hes thrown the ball?
Jevon Kearse's hands are full foot long, he's an animal. Anyway, surprised to see BF on our side for one. I agree not having Kearse just spy Vick, I think they should use a mix of Kearse, Michael Lewis, and Sheldon Brown. Sheldon is a much better tackler than Lito and Michael Lewis is emerging as a top safety in the league. It's times like these when I wish we still had Carlos Emmons, but what are you gonna do

They are basically same players they were then, neither team was a good team then so there was advantage that way either. Live with it, Vick isnt that good, that no player can shut him down.

It is equally annoying to read some of the comments on these boards. Stats are stats. Sorry but they just don't mean that much during the playoffs (just ask Manning). It is just a tool to compare teams - doesn't mean that those stats will play out in a game of this magnitude. Don't get pissed - it is all in fun. I'll even come back over here on Monday and take it like a good woman if the Falcons lose - cool?
Well if Falcons and Eagles fans are the same maybe we should join forces, for double the trouble. HAHA who am I kidding. That would never happen. For the record I never thought we were that bad, confidence is never a bad thing nor is disagreeing with other people. If we're the annoying fans like the Eagles, then so be it. I'm cool with it.
