Lebron James had one of the best rookie seasons ever, but he didnt take the cavs to the playoffs, do you think the cavs will make it this year considering that they didnt have the greatest offseason( loosing boozer...)IMO they will make it close to the playoffs but they probably will not make it in. what do u think!!!

:thumbsdow or

This off season wasn't bad. Boozer's replacement is well capable to pull the same exact numbers and we have a great combo at point guard. The thing we lacked last year was quality players on the bench. We have that now, also we don't have to worry about Kevin Ollie running the point if our star pg goes down.

Late last season we didn't have a good enough back-up PG to fill in as the starter when Jeff went down. Now we do with Eric Snow.

I can smell da playoffs!

If you don't mind me asking, what 8 teams will make it and why don't you think this years roster isn't capable? We improved our bench which was a major concern last season.

We needed shooters, we got them in LJax and Sasha. Wagner is capable of draining shots from the perimither, LeBron is obviously going to be better. Boozer's numbers wasn't outstanding last season and its not something thats hard to replace. It's Zydrunas' contract year, he is looking for a raise and Tractor and Snow are both out there to prove their worth.

We would have made the playoffs last year if JMac didn't go down and destroyed the chemistry with Ollie runnin the shots. It's going to be a fun season this year, watch.

I think they will make it as an 8th seed and heres my order.

1).Detroit- They still have the same team as last year but with an added Antonio Mcydyess. Nuff said.
2) Indiana-Stephon JAckson will be a great scorer along with Jermain and ROn especially with Reggies minutes getting lower each year.
3) Heat- They got Shaq-nuff said. Shaq and Wade will rip the East up.
4) Sixers- They have a lot of depth and plenty of talent. Injurys plauged them last season. They will be good. New coah Jim O Brian is what they need.
5) Milwaukee-they are a great and very underrated team. They lost Skinner but other wise theyre fine and Redd is more than capable of leading this team.
6) Knicks- They will most likely get Jamal Crawford or Erik Dampier so theyll be pretty good. With Marbury and Houston in the back court it''ll run smooth.
7)New Jersey- They can get here but only if they keep Kidd. Kidd is a top 5 player and makes his teammates better and will help youngsters discover their talent. Just like what he did with K-Mart.
8)Cleveland- Eric and Luke are both great additions. Drew almost makes up for Carlos Boozer but Boozer is better still. LeBron will only continue to get better.

It'll be real close between Cleveland and Boston IMO at the end but CLeveland with prevail and make the play ofss and lose in the first round.
I will be happy if they make the play offs though. [IMG]

And to anserwer your question the Cavs will be  lol

Yeah, I reckon Cleveland will make the play-offs, probably at position 7 or 8, but lose in the first round, unless they are very lucky. If the team they play in the first round has two of its starting five injured, they could win. Snow and Luke will be good, solid contributers and Gooden will put up the points he needs, if not quite replacing Boozer yet. The bench is looking stronger with players like Pavlovic and Snow(?). The back up PG position has been made good, so that really means that it's definately a  from me. lol

Well, Boston hasn't improved their team this season except for a pile of rookies. New Jersey IS NOT making the playoffs. Im assuming that Kidd will be a Maverick in 2 months. NJ is in the process of building a new team. When teams are in that process they are looking to get into the lottery. Im a little weary about Sixers making 4th seed also. Do you think they really improved from not making the playoffs last season to jump to 4th seed over MIL and NY? This is how i see it.

1. Det
2. Ind
3. Mia
4. NY/MIL
5. MIL/NY
6. CLE

aace2k the sixers will not finish above the cavs. who do the sixers have aside from ai and igudala who is half decent?
here is my order
1.Pistons-Same team as last year
2.Pacers- Got some good additions in the offseason
3.Heat-Shaq will dominate the east
4.Knicks- Good additions in the offseason
5.Cavs- Yes the cavs, the will be healthy at the start of the season and not start out with the boneheads like miles and davis
6.Milwaukee- Have a good shooter in Redd and a healthy T.J ford
7. Wizards- They have Arenas and Jamison if both stay healthy dont be surprised if they make the playoffs
8. Celtics- They always seem to squeeze into the playoffs and with al jefferson watch for him to have a big second half of the season
