<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Former Chicago Bulls player Marcus Fizer pleaded guilty to carrying a loaded handgun during a highway traffic stop. Fizer entered the plea to a misdemeanor charge Wednesday in Chicago, said Tom Stanton, a spokesman for Cook County State's Attorney Richard Devine. After Fizer's guilty plea to one count of unlawful use of a weapon, Judge James Schreier sentenced him to a year's probation and fined him $2,500. He can report for probation by phone, officials said. Fizer was charged with a felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in October 2002. Authorities said a police officer recovered the loaded handgun from Fizer's sport utility vehicle. At a previous hearing, an Illinois State Police trooper testified that he stopped Fizer because his front windshield was tinted, which is illegal in Illinois.</div> <div align="center">Link</div>
The thing I don't understand about the United States is that Guns are legal. Do they think Guns are a rare thing in the U.S because only a few know how to use it? Everyone has one and everyone knows that it only takes a index finger to kill someone. As for Fizer, he's officially a bust.
I can't believe the things these players do off the court. Fizer is somewhat of a high profile player, but if he wasn't then you probably wouldn't see him on the team next season. These guys throw away their life's work sometimes with things as stupid as carrying drugs or loaded handguns. It happens so often that it makes you wonder how smart these guys really are. Where was he going that he would have needed a loaded handgun?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Voodoo Child:</div><div class="quote_post">Where was he going that he would have needed a loaded handgun?</div>Ha, I wonder about that too. Maybe he was afraid of being mugged somewhere?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trip:</div><div class="quote_post">Ha, I wonder about that too. Maybe he was afraid of being mugged somewhere?</div> A guy his size being afraid of being mugged? With all his money, he shouldn't be going into the bad parts of town unless it was to visit old friends or some charity event.
and what kinda charity would he need to take a gun to anyway.... glocks for tots? im thinking just another guy apperently tryin to be a thug cuze i cant really think of too many reasons that he would need to carry.
wtf FIZER! once it was A.I. and now fizer. i was gonna buy this guys bobcats jersey and now he's arrested! i loved him in nba street(not vol. 2) and now he is a goin to kill ya kinda guy
Bobcat?? Actually I think Charlotte didn't keep Fizer so he is a free agent. Anyone see him staying in the league this year???
I don't see his name in the nba.com player files. So I guess he isn't playing this coming year. So the only way I can see him having a gun is that he visits old friends from a bad neighborhood where heat is popping off all the time. He may be a big man but he doesn't have steel for skin. But I doubt that was the case and it is stupid to have a gun when you could have body guards. He's not a household name, but does still have alot more money then 95% of the ppl in this world.
