wow $7 million for three more years...seems like quite a reach for someone on the downslide of his career...
Hey if you don't want Malone for three years hand him over to us(Spurs) that's chump change if you think about how many players are you going to have that can not only start for you but give you some insurance just in case you lose a Big for the season. So call him Lakers fan and tell him he is not worth it because he is worth it to us.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting iceman:</div><div class="quote_post">NOOO not for 3 seasons he must keep her good stats</div> I just think that the Lakers just want him to sign with them. I don't think they really want him for three years but 2.3 million is nothing to the Lakers. if they have him for one or two years it is still a bargain.
It'd be a good move because they Lakers are rebuilding, he can start the next season until they find another PF. Then the season after that, if the Lakers still haven't found a replacement then he can start , or if they do find a replacement, he can add depth to the bench and so on for the year after.
The Lakers need Karl to come back because they need experience adn leadership. They have the leadership of KB,Brian Grant and Diva the rest of the players have been in the NBA for 5-years and below they still need to be though the ropes of the NBA. The team needs players that work hard on & off the court and no one works harder then KM, KB, and Grand(from what I've heard). That is what the team lacked last season harder workers and no one is better at that then Karl. I wish Karl the best and I hope he comes back.
