<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince is not my "beloved" player. I would have to praise Vince as god every single time in order to be his beloved player. I have noticed that the NBA player the most users on this board haven't seen play is Vince Carter. Just don't talk if you haven't seen him play, why is that so hard? Stop living off the flippin articles and highlights. Vince is not overrated nor is he injury prone. He only missed 9 games last year, and despite not being 100% healthy throughout the whole season, he was still able to carry his team to a record around .500 prior to the allstar break. After it, he was roughly scoring 30, 5, 5 on a nightly basis due to the fact that they had to fight for the #8 seed in the east. Unfortunately in a game, we see Bruce Bowen purposely inserting his foot at the spot Vince elevated for a shot, and eventually having to wear street clothes. When he came back, he was scoring productive numbers and he was carrying the team on his back, but it was too late for the Raptors to have any hope for the #8 seed. After last season, he's nothing but underrated. For you to say he's not a team player is the most hilarious post I ever read. Ask anyone who have seen Vince play and they'll say he even passes just as much as he shoots, if not more. I would like to see this Peja Stojakovic dude make the Raptors better than Vince would. He has talent, but no way is he going to play as good due to the fact that the Raptors don't have as good of a system as the Kings, and he can't even lead a team for 30 seconds if it meant his life. Bibby and sometimes Webber, were the leaders of the Kings. You know why Peja wants out? He no longer has Divac to set him screens for open shots No way can Peja create and generate an offense like Vince.</div> I would have to agree with you 100% on this I wouldn't trade Peja for Moochie Norris why the heck would I trade him for VC the games most dominate player(Garnett and Duncan are boring to watch and Im tired of Shaq)

wow.. VC is the most dominant player now? musta missed that memo..... Well, apperently If there is going to be a trade.. it is not going to happen any time soon. perhaps there might be something after the season starts, but from where it stands right now, he will not be traded in the near future. One of the Maloof are supposed to be coming on the afternoon local show here in the next few minutes, I will post what he has to say immediatly following
What NBA star will demand a trade tommrow? Peja needs to be traded,he hypes himself up during the regular season and puts up really good numbers then he gets in the playoffs and he looks like he has never played NBA basketball game, the Kings could get a good player for him to I would go after a player who can perform and step up in the play offs, they also could use an athletic player, but whoever that player would be he should be able to the lead the Kings in scoring like Paje did in the regular season. Here are some players I think the Kings should look at,a player that could give them similar stats to Peja. 1.Shawn Marion 2.Maybe Wall Z and someone else from the Wolves 3.Maybe SAR,he could play PF and they could move Chris Webber to SF. 4.VC,I dont know whats the deal with him but this would be nice for both teams. 5.Ray Allen he is also on the block and is a similar player to Peja,I tihnk this would benefit both teams as well.
being a minnesota fan, i would not like to see peja in a minny jersey... i would much rather have wally... he might not be as great a shooter, but he is still one of the best shooters in the league, and his repetoire is much better than peja's. both of the suck on defense, but wally shows up in the playoffs, and he can create his own shot... If he is traded to seattle for ray allen, then sacto is getting a HUGE steal. Peja for Vince would be in favor of sacto as well... vince is a little bit overrated, but he is still a top 25 player in the league, maybe even top 20 (too lazy to think of who is better)... but either way, he is an better overall player than peja... peja was able to thrive because the kings system allowed him to get a lot of open jumpers, but sacto could probably do better bringing in vince and another spot up shooter like a hoiberg type player to play alongside bibby out on the perimeter.

I wouldnt want Peja in Seattle unless we could swing a trade not involving Allen.. The two are just too similar.. It doesn't really offer much of an improvement (if any at all) and doesn't cure our team's major weaknesses.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">If Peja leaves Sacremento for some weak team like L.A. or Minnesota for a Caron butler and Kareem or to Minny for Schzerbiak im sticking to watching College Basketball. Also the reason he wants to leave is because his boyfriend signed to L.A</div> Why so worried about trades involving other teams? Seems to me your Rockets are in a good position. BTW, Minny and LA are not the weak teams. It was houston who got eliminated in Round 1. Remember? lol.
I'm feeling a 3 way trade... Seattle gets... PF Abdur Rahim 2nd Rd. Pick Sacto gets... SG Ray Allen Portland gets.. SF Peja Stojakovic Portland gets rid of SAR, Improves SF/SG slot. Seattle improves PF slot, gets rid of Allen Sacto gets rid of Peja, gets a good player in Allen, and some cap space coming soon.
This just comes as a shock to me. To demand a trade mainly because a team didn't re-sign your fellow countryman (Divac) is ridiculous. The sad part is that Peja isn't going to get much for the Kings in the first place, but now that other teams know that Sacramento is going to have to get rid of him, they probably won't get much of anything in return for him.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Peja King:</div><div class="quote_post">this seems good but add Radmanovic Peja for Allen - Radmanovic</div> i think adding radmanovic is too much, the original trade idea seems to benefit all three teams. Ray allen would help the kings a lot and i think they could win the west with allen. the sonics probably could get a little bit more than shareef, but shareef is really underrated.
I see the Raptors play a lot, and Vince is very frustrating. He is soft, has no heart or killer instinct. He doesn't go to the basket near as much as he should. He tries to be a perimeter player, but can't shoot like Peja. As someone said above, since VC is now just a perimeter player anyway, the Raps might as well trade him for a good one - like Peja or Ray Allen. Sac would have trouble playing their free-flowing style if they got Vince - the ball stops when it gets in his hands, he holds it a while then throws up a fadeaway shot. Having said all that, I don't think Peja could carry the Raps the way VC could when he wants to. But he can be part of a great team game, like the Kings had, and the Pistons have now.

and the point of this thread is Stojakovic requesting a trade.(dont you hate guys that bring things back on topic? ) The Maloofs did not appear as promised, dont know why. But Petrie did leave a quip with someone in the radio media that he wasnt going to worry about any of this untill he gets back from vacation next month. How much of that remains true? who knows, but based on what the front office is saying, I dont forsee any trades untill training camp starts at the earliest since Stojakovic has already publicly stated that he would honor the contract and would report to training camp should he not be traded.
