Actually on this one they are 4, Nate Thurmond recorded the first w/ pts, reb, assist, and blocks, then Alvin Robertson had one with pts, reb, assist, and steals, then Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson had one with pts, reb, assist, and blocks. Hakeem thought to have had another Quadruple Double game, but after review one of his assist wasn't counted.

Who played and won the first NBA game ever?
And a bonus for this question: What was the promotion by the home team for free tickets to the game?

This is very easy. I studied this in my speech class like last year. It was the Toronto Huskies and the New York Knicks and the Knicks won that game.

The answer to your bonus question was also studied by me. I think if you were over 6'8", you got in free.

I know my history. You can't stump the Star.

In the 2002 playoffs, the Jazz made their ______th consecutive appearance in the playoffs.
    (Fill in the blank.)

During the 2001-02 season, which team had the then two highest scoring rookies and name the rookies.

I don't think the answer to this is Larry Bird. I'll say Craig Hodges. I don't quite remember how many shots he hit. Er, 21 or 22?

Perhaps that question was too difficult. Let me restate it.

Who scored the most points in the 3 point contest, and much did he score?

All-Star and durvasa, keep trying. You're very close.

The answer to that one is actually 19th, their run in the playoffs started with the 1983-84 season.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 'Chungster':</div><div class="quote_post">Who scored the most points in the 3 point contest, and much did he score? </div>
I'm going to take a guess on this one and since its not Larry or Hodges, I'm going to guess Peja with around 25? Like I said, this is just a guess.

BTW, who ever thought of this thread I really do like it.

Ok ... Craig Hodges with, uh, 26 points out of 30. I recall reading about this in some record book, but I don't remember the exact score.

That one is easy, Jerry West. He won it even thought the Lakers lost to the Knicks.

This one isn't really NBA Trivia, but it is basketball, so here goes:
Why was the backboard first put on the basket?
