allnet posted in another thread that there is a rumor that marion might be traded for magloire? anyone know anything more about this? jeez...if magloire is available the raps really should do close to whatever it takes to get him aboard. this would secure vince in toronto, and give us a legit center. donyell, mo pete & a 2005 first rounder for magloire & a 2005 2nd rounder??? rafer/alvin jalen/mason jr vince/lammond bosh/moiso magloire/arujo id live with lammond filling mo petes minutes if it means having magloire on our team
I don't know man. The main reason everyone is big on Magloire is because of his Toronto roots. He's remembered here that's for sure, and of course he'll be happy when he comes back, and his return will bring a rise in attendance. I doubt that the Hornets would trade him though. They are moving to the West, where success is defined by the possesion of a quality big man. The only legit center the Hornets have is Magloire, and I don't think they'll trade him if no centers are included in the deal, unless they are ready to to not even make a run for the playoffs.

Only a trade involving VC would have Magloire coming our way and even then I still think don't think NO would bite.
^I agree 100%. If there is any deal that is done between NO and us it has to involve VC in some matter.
come on, all we need is for some marketing wiz to sell the upside on Moiso, Lamond Murray, roger mason jr., and we can easily land Magloire... selling points Moiso, Position: F Born: 06/15/78 Height: 6-10 / 2,08 Weight: 235 lbs. / 106,6 kg. College: UCLA '02 -keeps your bench chairs very clean, helps out with the towels and gets the gatorade to his teamates very fast. Also can play on the at F/C for limited minutes in blow out games. Lamond Murray Position: F Born: 04/20/73 Height: 6-7 / 2,01 Weight: 236 lbs. / 107,0 kg. College: California '95 -helps divert media attention from star players by requesting a trade, can also be a very good team player passing the towels and gatorade. he can also be counted on to take shoot up bricks and give his forwards a chance to rebound the ball Roger Mason Jr Position: G Born: 09/10/80 Height: 6-5 / 1,96 Weight: 200 lbs. / 90,7 kg. College: Virginia '03 tons of potential, that's about it. all jokes aside, i hope our raptors including all of the above have an amazing year this year...hopefully they can all be inspired to play at another level on a reality front, unless the hornets want little or nothing for Magloire (and this keeping in mind that raptors will not part with VC), then it'll be hard to imagine him in a raptor uniform... <div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">^I agree 100%. I haven't seen either one of them get off the bench so how can they pass the towels and gatorade to their teammates?
I don't think Magloire's going anywhere for Marion. The Hornets need a good centre now that they're in the west and marion isn't a centre. I read in an article that Marion might be traded for Theo or Ilgauskas.
yea i heard this the suns want a big man and they said they even marion mite be on the go it was on hoopshype a few days ago
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">^I agree 100%. PJ brown always ends up guarding the opposing teams best big man anyways, and now that shaq is out of the west, NO dont need magloire as much, since PJ guards kg, duncan, zbo, elton, pau...etc either way, it was just an idea....if he's on the market, raps should make a move for him. how bout donyell, jalen and a first rounder. id still rather have magloire then jalen
donyell AND jalen? and a first rounder? i think that is too much, jalen rose brings alot to the raptors imo.
yea.. Rose and Marshall for Magloire is too much.. let alone the first round pick.. It wouldn't work anyway salary wise because Marshall and Rose together make about $20 million next season and Magloire makes about $7 million next season.. The Hornets will have to include garbage contracts or include either P.J. Brown or Baron Davis -- never gonna happen.

The salaries almost match if its Mo Pete and Marshall for Magloire.. but are the Hornets willing to have PJ Brown start at Center in the West? Id personally love Marshall and Mo Pete for Magloire.
Its mind boggling on why New Orleans would trade Magloire now that they're in the West. I haven't heard much on the topic, but it doesn't make sense for them to trade him unless they can get someone to fill his spot, which still doesn't make much sense.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting McGrady^1:</div><div class="quote_post">donyell AND jalen? and a first rounder? i think that is too much, jalen rose brings alot to the raptors imo.</div> If there's a no such thing as salary restrictions, then I'd do that trade. We'd be getting an all-star center (something that would be more than perfect for our team) & a second round pick and all we'd have to give up is a 2nd unit player, a guy with an over-bloated contract, and a first round pick. I'm not trying to downplay Rose or anything but if anyone is willing to pick up his contract then I would consider that a favour. I agree that Rose is important to our team, but think about what we get in return. Anyways, I still believe NO won't budge on a deal with us unless VC is involved. If they're planning on trading Magloire then they'd probably be demanding an all-star like Marion in return. But I still don't see why they'd do a Marion/Magloire trade in the first place. They can't possibly think PJ Brown can hold up at center can they? And they'd be giving up an established center in the process....
i would trade jalen... not worth it at all... throws a lot of turnovers, sloppy dribbler, and shoots a horrible percent. <font color="red">Thread Closed. There is now a thread specifically for the Center Position, post all news there. -Franchise</font>
