I think the same goes with west. West is not yet a true point guard. Akins could only do some much in helping west and banks. Now that we have Gary Payton i think west will make bigger stides in become the point guard of the future

^Most definitely. I totally forgot that they are trying to make West more of a point guard. As long as Gary is not opposed to the idea of schooling Allen and West (I'm pretty sure he will push them every day in practise and trash talk them to death) this is a small gamble on Boston's part that can pay in dividends for years to come.

    I don't.

Waaaahhhhhh. His daughter can learn to cope, it's part of the deal. She's only now starting HS, what's the big deal. I could see if it was her senior year, but not 9th grade.

If he wants to retire and take his money off the Celtics books, fine by me. That would give us enough cap room to go after someone this year, even though we don't need to. He'd be smart to tell his girl that the best for her lies in the east, after all, that's where all the good prep schools and colleges are anyways. [IMG] (Stanford withstanding)

Looks like Gary's going out ringless.... but yeah, he's still filthy rich.

Theres no way this trade will happen. This would be a dumb move by the celtics.

Hate to break it to you, but you might want to pick up a paper or watch Sportscenter, because this already happened.

im disapointed ainge gave up on banks this quickly, the Celtics really tried to get him at No.11 overall, and said he would be the PG of the future. Fast-Break, I dont know what his attitude was, but he looked like he could develop. Mihm, well, eh. West and Allen must of impressed someone in C's land. Oh man did Atkins get screwed, traded from Detroit to a losing team, now to L.A., too bad.
