Yall know how these work... Fact or Fiction: The Rockets' starting point guard next season will be acquired through a trade...
fiction: I doubt that the rockets will be able to trade anyone unless they give up Reece Gaines and Piatkowski. Otherwise, I see Lue being the point man. Which isn''t that good of an option. F/F: McGrady will still lead the league in scoring even with Yao on the team.
Fiction: Yao will probably be the number 1 scoring option again. F/F: The Rockets will reach the Western Conference Finals.
Fiction, the Rockets arent at that level yet. We still need a back up big man and a PG. I'm really thinking the Rockets are gonna bring Vassalis Spanoulis from Greece in next year, and let Lue start this year. F/F: Boki Nachbar is gonna have a breakout season.
Fiction: He may not dominate as much, but he may turn out to be like Hakeem Olajuwon. And greatness to me is what you accomplish and what you can do on the court. Fact or Fiction: The Rockets will finish better than .600
Fact. We can get there if we get 50 wins, a record that I'm sure we'll be capable of. F/F: Jim Jackson will improve on his excellent stats of last season, and average even more minutes than he did this season.
Fiction: With McGrady in town there is no way he will be able to get more than he was averaging before. I say he will get about the same amount of rebounds but his points may go down a little (down to 10 ppg) and so will his minutes (maybe down by 5 minutes). F/F: McGrady will average more assists this season with Yao than Kobe averaged last season with Shaq.
Eh, actually I think he'll average around the same, but if I had to pick, I'd say he averages less... F/F: The Rockets will be NBA champions within the next 3 years...
Ooh.. HArd one. Fiction. IMO, the Rockets still need more pieces of the puzzle. Yao will begin to really dominate 3 years from now, as long as T-mac is still here, we'll have a chance. F/F: Within the next two seasons, Boki Nachbar (yes.. another question), will be a regular starter.
Fact. Two years down the road, Jim Jackson will most likely have retired and Nachbar will have hopefully learned the ropes from JJ and T-Mac already, enough that he'll start. It'll be either him or Malick Badiane starting at small forward after JJ leaves. F/F: The Rockets will trade Yao eventually.
Fact. Look, Shaq's been traded, Dave DeBusschere was traded, so yeah, Yao will be traded. If not in 5 years, then in 10. Fact or Fiction: Yao will win an MVP award someday.
Fiction-He will be one of the top vote getters, but he wont be better than Bron, Melo, Wade, and some of the other young superstars. F/F T-Mac will be traded within the next 6 years
Thats a hard one. Mainly cause I don't know how he'll do. It's obvious they want to center the team around Yao. If they got a coaching change and it benefited him then I doubt he will be traded. I'm gonna go with Fiction because I don't think he will be traded. Kinda like we haven't seen Kobe traded since Drafat night. If there are any differences between Yao and McGrady I think they can work it out. Fact or Fiction: McGrady will have a better season (statisticaly) than the other big names in the West (Kobe, Melo, Kirelinko, Odom, etc.)
Fact: The guys you listed above are no where near Tmac's level. F/F Tmac will lead the team in points and assists next year.
Not points, assist maybe F/F: The Rockets will be sorry for the outcome of this big trade?(T-mac gets injured or does not produce and Steve,Cuttino,or Cato have a VERY succesful season.)
Fiction: McGrady will not be a better all around player with Yao in the lane and his points will go down but assists and maybe the rpg might go up. F/F:Should the Rockets retire Charles Barkley's number?
No. Although he did play well, he is basically the sole reason we couldn't win another championship after acquiring him. We gave up a huge part of our role players away for him, and there just wasn't enough shots to go around. F/F: Will Yao Ming miss his first ever game next season?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting '[KBC:</div><div class="quote_post">']What? Will he miss his first game ever? He's already played for 2 seasons...</div> He's played for two seasons, but hasn't missed a single one yet. I'm asking if he will miss that first game ever,
