Now that they've used most of their cap space, and they're wont be any more major signings, the best way for Utah to improve is by trade. Right now it looks like the Jazz will be fighting for a playoff spot, so do you think they should make a trade to increase their chances of making the playoffs and if so who should they trade and for who?

    Roster

    PG: Carlos Arroyo/Raul Lopez/Mo Williams*
    SG: Gordan Giricek/Raja Bell/Kirk Snyder
    SF: Andrei Kirilenko/Matt Harpring
    PF: Carlos Boozer/Kris Humphries/
    C: Mehmet Okur/Jarron Collins/Curtis Borchardt

    * Not official yet, but he should be in Utah next season. The offer's been made.

The roster looks set for a few seasons, but if Utah want success now I'd trade away for a better starting PG. Matt Harpring and Carlos Arroyo are likely to be traded, but not now. Harpring needs to get his trade value up first.

Peja said he wants to be traded, why not trade him to the Jazz? I think Peja could play the 2, AK could always guard the faster 2 guards and Peja could play the 2 on the offense. Peja also could give us that outside threat that we have been missing since Horny. But what would we have to give for Peja? The Kings would ask no less than AK47, so I would say no, but when a player asks to be traded most of the time what the team gets in return is less than what the players value is, so I would say a package of Harpring, Giricek, and a 1st round pick for Peja and a second round pick. The reason I pick to send Giricek instead of Bell, is that Bell is an inergizer off of the bench and plays great Defense and has a good game in the fourth quarter. I also know that Matt is a really good player in the Jazz system and he is considered untradeable, but sometime you have to trade an untradeable for the better of the team. Remember when we traded Jeff Malone, a guy who could get 20 points on any given night, for Jeff Hornacek to better the team? With Peja we could be a title contender this year. Just think:

    PG: Carlos Arroyo/Raul Lopez/Mo Williams
    SG: PEJA/Kirk Snyder
    SF: Andrei Kirilenko/Raja Bell
    PF: Carlos Boozer/Kris Humphries
    C: Mehmet Okur/Jarron Collins/Curtis Borchardt

This line-up would give the "Synderman" more minutes off the bench and we can move Raja to be the main guy off the bench at either the 2 or 3. And if CB is really the real deal, this also gives us the best Center line-up in the league as well as the best young PF, add this with the defense of AK and the shooting of Peja and ball skills of RoLoMo, this team would be unstopable.

Now I guess I need to wake up and see that they are really no chance of us getting Peja but it would be nice.

Yeah I think we should get rid of Harpring while he's value is up and I never liked the way Girichek played anyways.

As much as I'd love to have Peja, the chances of getting him are very slim. To get him, we would almost have to give up AK47. I would be very hesistant to do that. AK47's best day are ahead of him, Peja is at his prime now and Utah may be sacrifcing their future to get him. If Peja is leaving Sacramento, I doubt he'd be coming to Utah.
    But it's nice to dream...
