<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Last year, everyone said the Lakers were going to win and they didn't," Crawford said yesterday at the Knicks' training facility in Greenburgh, where he was introduced with fellow former Bull Jerome Williams. "We have enough talent on this team to compete with anyone, and once the playoffs start, anything can happen."

"I don't want to put a timetable on it," said Crawford, "But nobody expected the Pistons to do what they did, and I hope we can do something like that, too."

Even as Thomas introduced his two newest players, the team president was talking about more potential signings: Vin Baker, which is nearly a done deal according to both Thomas and agent Aaron Goodwin, and Erick Dampier</div>Read more

They'll do well, but they won't win a title -not this upcoming season at least

Hmmm... they'll go deep in the playoffs provided Marbury and Crawford mesh, and the signing of Dampier could put them over the top.

    Marbury/Crawford
    Houston/Crawford
    Thomas/JYD
    Thomas/Sweetney
    Dampier/Mohammed

I like it a lot. Championship material? Doubtful.

We'll need Sweetney to <u>explode</u> in order for us to be legitimate title conteders. I say we'll be eliminated in the 2nd round.

I hope Jamal's wishes be fulfilled, I want to see the knicks win a title as well but its doubtful. I don't like Tim Thomas you could get someone way better for him and some others like VC or Peja. I say trade Tim Thomas or Kurt Thomas ( only because of trade value ) so you get someone useful in return or atleast trade one of them away to get JYD to the starting line.

The knicks won't contend for a title this anytime real soon IMO. Maybe 3 or 4 years down the road they'll probably be legitiment title contenders but not anytime soon. Jamal is a great accet to their team but they will need more then just his word and skills to accomplish what he seeks.

How would we improve so dramatically in 3 or 4 years? It's not like we're that young. I don't think he really expects a title, it's just the usual crap a player says at the press conference.

Stuff like: "Oh I was always a (Team name here) fan.'' or "We have what it takes to compete" or "I always wanted to play here'' stuff like that-It's all basically written out for them.

It would be nice to see the Knicks in the finals. My uncles favorite team. They were never to get over the hill with Ewing and Starks. Chicago was always in the way.

I really think that our only threat in the east is the Pistons. We have on of the deepest benches in the league too. In a 7 game series im confident we a run through the pacers. But I feel only the Pistons could stop us. Until there bench is in.
