I know the Peja rumours are getting a little out of hand but I digress......

The tremors from Sacramento Kings forward Peja Stojakovic's trade demand have rolled straight to Indiana, where he's already the focus of rampant speculation in a deal involving Ron Artest.

Stojakovic, the NBA's second-leading scorer last season with a 24.2 average, revealed Thursday he told the Kings on July 23 he wanted to be traded.

The Pacers qualify as a logical destination, given president Larry Bird's public admiration for Stojakovic and the fact his contract closely matches that of Artest </div>Full Story

I don't know about you guys but a Christie and Artest combo on defence would be absolutely devastating. You would not be getting that much on offense but your defensive game gets 10x more effective with Artest in there.

I wouldn't want Peja to be traded at all, but if it was mandatory, I would definetely want Artest in return.

I'm now hearing that Petrie is saying no deal's been made so far for Peja, and isn't saying that Peja will be traded.so i hope this is a sign that Peja's not been traded.

if i can get artest for peja... i'd do it in a heartbeat... artest will give u some post play, which peja cannot provide, and will lock up any player on the floor 6-10 or smaller. peja might give u one or two solid defense stances during the duration of a game... outside the shooting that peja provides, kings won't be losing much... bibby is an oustanding shooter and bobby jackson will be coming back. it is much easier to replace a shooter than a defender of artest's caliber. a defensive player of the year for a wannabe mvp... it should be a no brainer

Bird has been tryin to get Stojakovic for a while now.. so the talk has been there for a while. The kings have just kept tellin Bird no. And they are still telling him no, and from what the kings front office is saying it will continue to stay no for the forseeable future

i wouldnt doubt that it is.
the Kings seem pretty set on the idea they arnt going to trade him. based on that i would guess that they are biding their time to figure out what to do or find someone that wants to make a real huge barn burner of a deal.
