Im a big State fan and i was wondering, how far do u think they will go this season? I think they will reach the final four, because almost all there players are returning from last season. State also had a good recruiting year, they finally have a TRUE point gaurd this season in Drew Neitzel who should spark for them this season. PAul Davis will average a double double this season or maybe close to it. He has worked out the most for the Spartans and was really frustrated with last seasons performance. What do u guys think?
I agree. Last year dissapointed the hell out of me. I don't care about their tournament loss or their final record either. The thing that bugged the hell out of me was losing to Kentucky infront of the largest crowd to ever attend a basketball game (literally) and then getting smashed by Duke on our homecourt. The schedule was absolute murder; I hope Izzo tones it down a notch this year. I don't know how we'll do. Last year I thought we'd be #1 all year. We returned Anderson, Torbert, Hill, Ager, Davis, Johnson, and were bringing in Brown. I thought that any one of those players could have been All-Americans as well. They really let me down. This year I'm not going to go into the season with high expectations. It hurts to be let down. Anyway, glad to see another State fan on the board.
They will get to the sweet 16 and get knocked out They will not win the Big Ten Tourney(that title belongs to Wisconsin BABY)
Wisconsin has no chance of winning without Devin Harris. He was there only threat besides Wilkinson. Michigan State all da way!!!

All three were absent from the team's roster last season and are expected to make major impacts this season.
I still think the Spartans can win the BIg 10 this season. NO matter who the Badgers get. The 3 Spartan seniors, Hill, Andersen and Torbert promised Izzo a BIG 10 championship before they leave and the last Spartan player to say that was Mateen Cleaves. Paul Davis will be one of the top players in the nation.
The will be runner-up in the Big Ten to Wisconsin, Brown also will breakout of his shell and show what he has.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TwinTowers:</div><div class="quote_post">The will be runner-up in the Big Ten to Wisconsin, Brown also will breakout of his shell and show what he has.</div> I don't know what shell you are referring to. Shannon Brown has shown what he can bring to the table. He'll get better every year and will get more playing time every year, but his actual talent level isn't going to rise dramatically.
Shannon Brown will get much more playing time this year. He showed that he can play and Izzo will give him more playing time dis season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting i3crossover:</div><div class="quote_post">Shannon Brown will get much more playing time this year. Shannon Brown is a shooting guard, and Michigan State has three awesome Seniors that are shooting guards. Shannon Brown won't get more than two or three more minutes of playing time this season.

The 3 seniors arent all SG, Andersen plays the 3 and Torbert and Hill split the 2 and 3 spots. Hill was used mostly as a PG. But wut i meant by that was Shannon Brown has proved himself to Izzo and now he should get more playing time. The seniors wont be in the whole game obviously and the 6th man for the Spartans will be either Brown or Ager this season with the new recruits. IMO

IMO</div> It doesn't matter what positions they <u>can</u> play. The fact of the matter is that Ager, Anderson, Brown, Hill, and Torbert are all naturally shooting guards. You can spread them out over two or three other positions, but the fact of the matter is that they are all going to take playing time away from eachother. After losing no shooting guards that were worth anything this summer, why do you feel like Brown will get a lot more playing time? We're going to have the same core of players that we did last year. In fact, our second best Freshman coming in is even a swingman.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting IrishFan1:</div><div class="quote_post">How's this? Spartans suck and aren't going anywhere!</div> How's this? You keep making idiotic posts like that and you'll get a suspension.
The Spartans are gonna be good this year, watcha talkin bout Irish dude. LAst time I checked, the Irish were lookin for a new coach.
