<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">One negative would seem to be that they're now overloaded with small forwards or wing players. Iguodala, John Salmons, Brown, Korver and Robinson all fit into that category. Williamson, Thomas, McKie and Greg Buckner have also played small forward at times, which would lead you to believe that another trade is likely in order. King would love to find a way to unload Buckner, who is owed $13 million over the next four years. Salmons probably also is expendable. But if they don't move anyone else, they've got a plethora of players who do the same type of thing. They need to add another big body, perhaps in a trade for one of their perimeter players. Center Todd MacCulloch, who missed all of last season due to a foot neuropathy, appears close to retirement. Sadly, he's exactly what they need right now. And O'Brien, who loves the 3-point shot, admits they don't have enough outside shooting. Last season, the team shot 34.2 percent from 3-point range, which was 18th out of the 29 NBA teams. McKie (43.6 percent) and Korver (39.1 percent) were the Sixers' best. But O'Brien is a pretty good coach who will bring back that defensive focus. He'll play more of an uptempo style which will suit Iverson. And Korver's shooting ability should work to his advantage with O'Brien. Miami, with the addition of Shaquille O'Neal, should be a lot stronger in the East. Defending champion Detroit will be right up there again as will Indiana. But after that, who knows? New Jersey lost Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles. New Orleans is moving to the Western Conference and the Charlotte Bobcats will join the Eastern Conference. Orlando lost Tracy McGrady, but added Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley. Cleveland could be a playoff contender. The Celtics acquired Gary Payton from the Lakers, but he isn't the Gary Payton of old. The Sixers will miss Snow's leadership, but all in all, they should be better than last year, which may not actually be saying very much. I don't think 43 wins would be unreasonable.</div> <div align="center">Link</div> According, to this article, it seems as if Billy King may be looking to trade John Salmons and Greg Buckner. I have absolutely no problem getting rid of them. I think we could get a quality player in return for the both of them. But like I've predicted before, I still think our latest move that sent Coleman and McCaskill to Detroit for Williamson was our final move. Salmons and Buckner are pretty much under the radar on teams? wishlist this offseason. They didn't make any noise last season, and even if that's the case they're still good players and could produce. But I highly doubt any team will be really interested in them. So would it be wise if we got rid of them? If so, who should we get in return?
I think Billy King has something up his sleeve...I think he might be going after another big man to backup Kenny Thomas...Also I think Buckner/Salmons and Big Dog will be traded for a better SF...I don't think the Williamson deal will be our last
I would love to get rid of Greg Buckner. He has basically done shit for our team. Hes not even a good back-up. Billy King has one last trade up his sleeve. He is gathering up players to trade for a big name player. I think he is doing something like that. He might be interested in Peja ,but I do not want Peja here as Peja is basically just a better overally version of Kyle Korver. Peja is set up good in the King offense. If he goes any where else he won't perform nearly as well. I hope we dont get him. I doubt we can get Vince Carter even though It is possible. I believe Billy King will do something slick when Kevin Ollie and Kedrick Brown are able to be traded in 60 days. I think it was our last trade of the off season as well. We will have a couple of trades before the trade dedline though. A thing that made me think Peja is Jim O Brians offense. He loves good perimeter shooters like PEja so I think thats why I had to mention Peja somewhere in there
Yeah, Buckner did nothing for our team last year but average about 3 points per game with about a .350% shooting percentage. He's expendable. John Salmons showed that he can be a quality point guard off the bench at the end of the season so some teams may want him and because of his low salary. As for Kedrick Brown and Kevin Ollie, the deal was horrible to trade snow for two nearly worthless players unless Billy King has something else up his sleeve involving them. And for who these players might be traded to or for, I have no idea.
Man I really like John Salmons I will say after AI he is without question my favorite player on the team. I would hate to see him leave. I really dont get what JO is saying though first he wants to have a run and gun offensive team now he wants to get shooters why? To make them the celts team they had and turn korver into walker? I think he should look to trade robinson and buckner, but not salmons. He is a wild card player who when he scored over 10 points last year the team was well over .500 I think he is a very good fit for the team since he is a philly native he could be a fan favorite in the future. I hope they try to make a move though with robinson and buckner in a package deal for someone like bobby jackson three former sixth men of the year coming of our bench would give us a good rotation and depth.
the problem with salmons is that he's way too unpredictable and inconsistent. he'll have a 20 point game one nite and like 6 point game next game....hes gotta improve on that

Then so are other players in the nba like stromile swift, darius miles, and bonzie wells. You dont know what you are gona get each night you just got to hope for the best because they have the talent also salmons was top in the team in free throw percentage last year.

VC?
Toronto wont get rid of VC unless they get someone that sells tickets in return. Greg buckner, john salmons, and glenn robinson DO NOT sell tickets. Personally i would like to have Peja on the team. An overrated version of korver? Maybe a 6'8", superstar, 24 points per game version of Korver. Then we would actually have another ligetimate scorer other than AI, and the oustside shooting we need. But i dont think the kings are dumb enough to give him up for the garbage we have on our roster. But you never know.

He can not create his own shot and with AI running point he is not going to look for peja on the wing or try to work the ball to him. Then Peja wont get his shots and start forcing things and become the next atoine walker. We need a player who can create off the dribble we always seem to get a guy who gets lost in the flow of the game Tim Thomas, Larry Hughs, Keith Van horn, and Glenn Robinson. We need a guy like c-webb, VC, shawn marion because they can create there own shots. Also Peja wont be good with AI as Peja can not take critism well and he will recieve plenty of that from AI and the city of Philly. He does not fit our style it is like tring to ride a bike through the ocean it is not going to work well.

TRADE ACCEPTED Thoughts?</div> The suns wouldnt go for that. They do not need small forwards they need centers. Take out salmons and put in jackson or skinner and you might have something. Marion is there only peace to aquiring a good big man. They will not let him go without getting at least one in return. Also this trad eowuld be perfect for the sixers they get rid of contracts and get a all star and a possible all star in return. Though the suns have said they will not look to trade JJ. Mabye Jackobson as long as we get marion im cool.
