Raptors Fact or Fiction

Fiction, he will average over 5 but less than 10 due partly to playing time constraints (although he may start) as well as Vince, Jalen, Bosh, Donyell, Mo, and Rafer all contributing on the scoring side of things.

Fact or Fiction:

Loren Woods will surprise Raptor fans and be a solid contributor off the bench - exceeding the original expectations just to take up space as a reserve center.

 

Fact Woods is a great contributor.

F/F--Raptors will have a higher seed then 5th.

 

Fiction. They will probably get a low seed like 5,6 or 7.

F/F: Toronto wins the atlantic division.

 

Fiction. The Knicks will.

Chris Bosh will bring more success to the Raptors than Vince has so far.

Fiction, If Kidd stays a Net, than they are still the team to beat. The Celtics and Knicks are vastly improved.

Fiction, although he will probably be near it (something like 14 and 8.5)

 

fact- if they want to make the playoffs they will need to make a big trade

f/f- vince carter is the best raptor of all time

f/f alston will have a better year than last year.

 

Fiction. I like him better coming off the bench... giving a good spark. His stats might go down abit IMO.

F/F - VC's career is close to over.

 

Fiction. If he remains healthy, he has at least 4 or 5 good years left in him.

F/F - Vince will break his 12 assist record this coming season.

Vince Will Get Re-Injured.

 

Fact, but i don't see anything significant happening. Probably sit out for a couple of games.

F/F - Vince will score under 10 points for at least 4 games this coming season.

 

Fiction. Probably once but not four games.

F/F: Sam Mitchell will actually do a good job with the raptors and will be a candidate for coach of the year.

 

Yes he will do a good job...and he may be a candiate as well for c.o.y. but def. not a strong one.

F/F - Vince will have stronger and more intense battles than he had last season with other superstars of his kin such as t-mac, pierce, kobe, ai...

Fact. The chemistry between TMac and Yao is unknown at this point and the team needs to gel.

F/F: Chris Bosh will put up similar to 18 and 10.

 

Fact. Given the minutes he had last year, and the bulk he added this offseason could help him get those numbers.

F/F: Lammond Murray will be a raptor all season

 

Fiction on Bosh's stats. I don't think he'll up his numbers that much...I see him getting around 16 and 9.

Fact on Lamond Murray. Mitchell will see what he can do in his system and will give Murray PT. A buyout is unlikely, and he's not that tradeable.

Fact or Fiction: Morris Peterson will lead the Raptors in fast break points and oppurtunities.

You honestly think that with Vince, Jalen, Mo, Donyell, and Rafer all contributing on the scoreboard for the Raptors that Chris Bosh will average close to 20 a game? He had tons of minutes last year, and 10 pounds isn't going to rais his ppg average by 8, and up his rebounds by 3. Thats just unrealistic.

Fact. Hard to predict that, but the reason why I think Lamond will be a Raptor all season is that I doubt anyone would want him in a trade, and to trade him we would have to take in equal amount of money which wouldn't do any better for us. There is a chance of us releasing him, though.

Fact or Fiction: The Raptors were last in the league in offense last season (84.5ppg), this season they will improve to at least 15th in the league in offense, if not better.
