This is why vick will never win super bowl. He cant throw for shit, He will never have three good games vs good defenses, so they will inevitably lose and not win super bowl.

No he'll win one. He's in the WCO and still adjusting, the guy obviously can throw the ball its not like he had no passing yards or didnt make any nice throws today, because he did. Wasnt his best game or anything by any means but that doesnt mean you can predict he will never win one, he's 24 has lots to learn and a lot of time to improve before his career is over. Vick will win one with the Falcons as soon as we get some damn WRs, a half decent O-line and he develops more as a QB.

I agree MV has a real strong arm & can throw the ball. Its a shame that when it comes down to crunch he will rely on his legs long before his arm. Until then, the Falcons progression will be halted.

Having receivers who can get open/catch the ball will definitely help Vick's development. They said today that the Falcons have the fewest catches and yards by wide receivers in the NFL. That's huge...

That is Vick, everytime i watch him he looks like a deer in the headlights till he breaks pocket. He has recievers running open all over the field

Are we forgetting that Vick has Peerless Price, Algae Crumpler, and the top running game in the NFL? Not to mention a pretty damn good defense. Vick needs to get better, it's not a question whether or not he will, he HAS to. I saw a bunch of throws from Vick today and most of them I had no clue where they were going. As of right now, Vick is not a good QB.

I didnt agree I just named the few things that need to be improved first. I still think he will win a big game and a Super Bowl in due time.

McNabb takes the snap, drops back, is under pressure, hes hit but shakes loose, he shuffles left, hes grabbed by a defender but shakes out of it, he spins back to his right, rolls out a bit and is clobbered....right after he delivers the ball for an 11 yards completion and an Eagles 1st down....

thats the difference between Vick and McNabb right now, McNabb has developed into a mobile pocket passer who prefers to buy time with his legs to make plays with his arm....He is worthy of a title run, if the Falcons fans are lucky, Vick might be someday too....

How can you judge his play in one game and then say it will be the future as well? You dont know that.

BF1 and I were watching the game together when McNabb pulled off the play that I mentioned above....during the run, I said "I bet Vick could do that" and then McNabb slung it for the catch and he said "but he can't do that"....and he was absolutely right, its what makes McNabb special and Vick ordinary for now....Vick has a lot of work to do and hes capable of doing it, but Im glad he was exposed a bit today, because hes not ready, and its best that the public realizes that so that they can put his abilities into the proper prespective....

I am not judging him on one game, this game is a microcosm of his entire career. He has NEVER been an accurate passer, and he never will be. He just doesnt have it, maybe in 10 years the falcons will draft a pocket passer who will take the team to the super bowl win, but till they get a new QB it wont happen.

Thats a strong statement....Ive seen a lot of QBs that looked clueless who eventually figured it out so I wont rule out Vick becoming a good QB, but I do think that his legs are hindering his development and I will explain my theory....when a young QB with average athletic ability gets in trouble, he eats the ball because he cant escape, so he learns really quick that if he holds on to the ball too long, he will be hit a lot and the team will fail....he is motivated to get the ball out of his hands, which is always desirable for the QB....but Vick knows that he can make spectacular plays with his wheels, he gets instant offense if he pulls it down and runs and so hes not motivated to get the ball out of his hands quickly, because right now, its their best chance to win.....because of that, Vicks wheels become a crutch, something to lean on when its not going well, and he never learns to avoid trouble with is arm, something most QBs must do to survive....in this way, i think Vicks athletic ability is a curse and not a blessing....I believe, more than ever before, that a mobile QB can have success at the highest level only when he learns to play the game from the pocket 1st....McNabb has done that and hes now really dangerous all the time....Culpepper has done it....even McNair did it....

Very good point, never thought of it like that. Maybe if that is the case, with Jim Mora actually using his running ability more is hurting his development even more.

The difference is those QBs showed the ability to deliver the ball accurately outside the hash marks, on a consistent basis when they did throw it. Vick doesnt have it.
