I know Sura was a Hawk last season and played some of the best ball of his career in Atlanta...Now as a Rocket, I would like to know more about him...Can one of yall gimme an in-depth scouting report on him, as a player? Thanks...

Pretty quality player that can play point guard or shooting guard. He is a good ball handler as well and as well as a good 3ball shooter. He can also get up for a small white boy, Sura will not start but is a great pickup for a bench player.

very good signing for the Rockets, with Sura and Ward they add more depth and experience to their already experienced team.

As a Warrior season ticket holder for the last few years I would say I definitely had a love/hate relationship with Sura, more so the hate side. I like the fact that he plays real hard and always gives it his all, he is versitle and can play the 1 and 2 and in fact beat out Gilbert Arenas for the starting point guard job in Muss's first year, but sustained an injury (calf? or back? i forget) in training camp and the rest was history.

The reason I hated him was his one move is to go hard in the lane and throw up some junk and hope to get fouled, then when he didn't get the call he would stare down the ref while the rest of the team is scrambling because it is now a 5 on 4 on the other end of the court. Another thing was he always took the last shot when the clock was winding down whenever he was in the game, I like someone with the gall to do that, but he never made it. I didn't watch him when he played for the Hawks, obviously, but I am guessing he had the ball in his hands the entire game, like he was back at FSU.

Now with that said, I think it is a good pickup for Houston, but you Houston fans will know what I'm talking about after the first week with regards to taking it to the hole.

just take a look at his brief action with the hawks.. a near three straight triple double for the great guy. with the rockets, getting so much of help, signing him right to where they needed him to. just a great rebounder, a ball grappler and a set of mind to keep his game cool.
makes me wonder, why atlanta gave up on him.

I haven't watched him much with the Hawks, but he seems very well-rounded to me. Averaging 8.3 rebounds in 27 games as a perimeter player is no easy feat, and it's even more important when you also average 14 points and 5 assists in the process. Sura can also defend with intensity and drain the open shot, doing the little things to help his team win.
